You certainly fixed it :) aha
Nice work.
Any improvements with changing the MAPP gas pressure?

We used the same psi for each shot; before I could start trying different values the cpu fan broke and the gun wouldn't fire.

I need to put in a new fan and hotter ignition for a faster response and better explosion.

Ahh yes, you did say that your fan died on you, but I failed to take note. Hopefully you get a new fan up and running soon so you can wreak more havoc on more inanimate objects with this beast.

Nice bit of theatre, though you need heftier projectiles to do some real damage :)

What do you suggest? I'm open to try anything.

These will take care of your pesky TV. You'll see in the beginning of video the rounds are cutting clean through 6 layers of carpet.

With a larger bore, I was able to get a rolled up shirt through 2 layers of carpet. I didn't try thicker layers of carpet.

One area of improvement would be the spark. Although it works, there appears to be a split second delay in the firing and I'm thinking a "hotter" spark might lead to a faster, more powerful explosion. At least that's how it works with racecars and spark plugs.

I don't think a hotter spark is going to help much. If your getting ignition your probably OK... i suspect the Air- Fuel ratio is not quite dialed in. MAPP and Propane have a relatively narrow AF ratio and will be harder to ignite outside of the optimum AF band.

Of course our 30KV igniter would certainly get things fired up!

Buda, there's been discussion and the spark is nothing. The amount of current/voltage (as long as the mix ignites) will not change power in any way, unless you are pumping enough current to form plasma from your electrodes.

Not bad

Thanks! That just saved me a bunch of money and time tearing it apart to go with a hotter spark. Ironically, I just came from my garage inspecting the spark and was thinking to myself, "I have tons of spark!"

I finished fitting the new fan and will install it tomorrow...time to watch Weeds season 4 on blu-ray with my wife. :P

Once the fan is installed, I'll toy with various psi's.
