Ok, here i have my assembled bazooka body. I was originally going to make it a combustion cannon but decided to go with air powa!! problem is, i changed my mind after i put it together (and spent 70 bucks on pvc) so i have some ideas on how to alter it to make it a pneumatic launcher but am not sure if it will work without changing the length too much (wont be able to reach trigger handle). tell me what you think

questions and comments appreciated

Dont put any pressure in that thing! it has DWV all over the place its fine as a combustion but DO NOT USE IT AS A PNEUMATIC!! it will explode and if you are firing it as a bazooka you will go blind/deaf!

Dude, it would make an awesome Combustion, just stick with that.

The fact that you even made this topic leads me to advise you to stick with combustions until you have at least some grasp of what you're getting into.

is there any way i could possibly make it a pneumatic? im not even thinking about taking it past 30 psi, or even 20, so it shouldn't fall apart or be too loud (and besides, i used a sh!t load of cement).

making it a combustion is out of the question....so i guess what im asking is what is the safest way to modify this thing to make it pneumatic?

yes, use pressure rated pvc parts.

there isnt a way its all dwv even the pipe itself not just the fittings figure out how to safely make a pneumatic (not that hard with ten minutes of research) and start again.

its all sch 40 pvc so......

for one, i made sure i got NSF-PW sch 40 so i should be ok pressure rating wise.
and second, im not starting over lol...it would be a waist of 70 bucks

those are dwv tee fittings I highly doubt its sch 40. And please don't use all capitals in your title.

I doesnt mater if its sch 40 thats just a thickness rating not a pressure rating! Its not pressure rated not the fittings not the pipe!

im not arguing any more about the fact that its sch 40...because it is!
and where i live its pretty common to find sch 40 tee's at the local fleet farm and i made sure i got the right ones.

you can also tell its not good for air pressure is the socket, those are shallow socket depths.

Yeah, most (if not all) of the fittings are DWV, which means they aren't pressure rated. They may be sch. 40, but that doesn't mean that they are pressure rated. You are fine to use it as a combustion, but if you want to make it a pneumatic you will need to use pressure rated fittings. (fittings that say NSF-PW, NOT NSF-DWV)

ok guys, look...im sorry its not perfect and everything doesn't meet your standards, but we're not really discussing my main question

whats the safest way to modify this into a pneumatic?

i really dont wanna start over or make it a combustion cannon so plz just help me out

Yeah, most (if not all) of the fittings are DWV, which means they aren't pressure rated. They may be sch. 40, but that doesn't mean that they are pressure rated. i did say they were nsf-pw, but i just checked and they say d...w...v.

sorry to everyone who i argued with about the fittings being pw/dwv, big mistake on my half (havent slept in like 20 hrs lol).

but anyway, i still dont understand what the big deal is if im not planning on taking past 30psi, please....explain.

LISTEN TO ME! YES IT IS SCH 40 BUT ITS NOT PRESSURE RATED!
Why cant you listen? its not that hard of a concept its sch 40 which really doesnt mean crap its not a pressure rating it has to say nsf-pw get it into your head.
