Has anyone tried using Silicon Spray as a fuel for a spray&pray cannon? I just found a can in my garage and sprayed it over a match, impressive fireball, bigger than the static guard I've been using. Any input?

EDIT: Spellcheck, and changed up some links to different and better MSDS'.

But with the help of google, I found the MSDS of a "liquid silicone" and I can only infer that your silicone spray is basically the same stuff but in an aerosol can. "ST-29 Silicone Fluid" is a liquid product sold by Sil-Tech Corporation, and it is indeed very flammable.

It shouldn't corrode your chamber wall. Seems to me like it could be used as a fuel just fine, but that is all in theory.

Starter fluid makes huge fireballs too, but I dont know if it'd be a good fuel. I'll stick to pneumatics. 8)

i tried using that stuff one time it put a bunch of gunk in my chamber and the skrews that i was using for my spark stoped working so i had to replace them.....i would not recomend using it.

Hmm, gunk bad. I've got a terribly complicated ignitor that just about nothing could possibly gunk up or keep from working so that's not a problem. All I know is it made a whole lot of fire, really fast.

I'll take that and run then. I was planning on trying carb cleaner next time. My neighbor is a mechanic and he's got like, uber a lot of cans of the crap.

I think "THE spray fuel" is ether in a can.

Anything else is probably "diluted" by some contents, and silcon spray is probably quite expensive - but interesting thought.

I have no clue how much the stuff costs, all I know is there's a can in my garage and like I said, neighbors a mechanic and he has uber a lot of it. As for ether in a can, where would I obtain this?
