2" Union Burst Disks

Harness the power of precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Safety first! These are advanced potato guns - not for the beginner.

It's going to end up being a manometric high pressure gun. I'll need to find replacements for burst disks, because at the moment, I'll have to go through about 10 soda cans haha.

I might look into thick sheet metal, where only one piece is required.
Managing 20 soda can cutouts would be a real pain!

Somehow, I doubt you would need 10 can cutouts.

I assume the nipples are sch80 or higher?

You're right, more like 20 :P
It's all sch 80 forged steel (except for fueling, metering, etc)

In HGDT: With a 10x mix, 200psi burst disks give me 1000 fps for a lead projectile. The same mix and projectile, but with a 300psi burst disk, I get 1200fps.

The more burning I get to happen in the chamber before the disks rupture, the more energy is transferred to the projectile.

I'm looking into 14 gauge aluminum sheet metal as a burst disk.

Don't bother with 10x mixes unless the disk is bursting 600PSI+ in my opinion. Drop the mix, keep the burst pressure the same and the velocity is probably quite similar.

A 6x mix gave me 600 more fps, compared to an incomplete 10x burn.
I'll either use tin cooking pans, or 14 gauge sheet metal. Trying to get a burst pressure at 700-1000
