i am in the process of making a highly portable mini vortex gun which will run off 88g co2 cartridges. the idea is to have a very small co2 reg between the co2 and the blowgun. it was previously suggested that i use something <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Tippmann-98-C-Gun-P ... Item">like this</a> i have done further research into that particular reg and have found that it "has a slow recharge time", meaning it has a low flow rate. what i was wondering is if i can still use it to power a vortex gun or will it be a complete waste of money? i would assume there will be a very low flow at 100psi and intend on pushing the pressure up to 200 or 300psi to get the correct flow but i need a high pressure valve any suggestions (a ball valve wont cut it)? if there is no hope at all can anyone suggest a different reg that is fairly small?

Most brass ball valves are rated for 600 psi, so I fail to see the problem. I've been contemplating a high pressure cloud for a while, but I don't really want to waste ~$50 worth of nitrogen in such a short time.

Even small regs can put out insanely high flow rates at decent pressures. If you want, I'll post a video of the kind of flow my nitrogen reg. has at 300 psi. Sounds like a f***ing hurricane.

but did your nitrogen reg cost $25? i have a feeling this thing is going to be a cheap piece of crap. i know ball valves are rated high the problem i have is as of right now im using a blowgun rated to "90 psi max" (according to the label).

Admittedly, the N2 reg cost more than 10 times as much as the CO2 reg that you're getting, but it wasn't designed with flow in mind like a paintball regulator. It was designed for testing and purging brazed joints, according to the package.

would it be possible to use two of the cheaper lower flow regs to give satisfactory flow? what if you bought one, and if it doesn't have good enough flow, add another one?
