The FX actually bleeds air from the barrel to recock the mechanism, a feature that is more obvious if you look at their Revolution model:



It can afford to do this because of the 3000 psi+ of air it uses, something beyond the reach of your average mortal spudgunner.

At 1,900 AUD (excluding scope, mounts and silencer) I'd hardly expect her to pay for it, besides since it needs to be licensed she cannot purchase it for me - and, not forgetting, she won't even touch my guns, let alone fire them

Logun take Airguns that already exist and slap their name on them.
My experience of Logun is a bad one, a couple of years ago, I treated myself to an S-16, the performance wasn't too shabby by any means, but the weight of the thing was incredible. Was impossible to hold it steady whilst aiming at something, the addition of a bipod made that easier, but then the mechanism started leaking and would drain the air bottle from 200bar to 0bar in one night. So I had to sell it on, because Logun couldn't find a fault with it, obviously they didn't look hard enough.
But then I went for an Air Arms S410K (Karbine) and it performs very well, is very accurate and doesnt weigh that much at all.
I was thinking about the FX Storm, Revolution, Monsoon and the Cyclone, if anyone has any personal information or experience with these rifles, would they give me a shout because I think that most reviews are totally biased.

I really like the look of the S-16, I was tempted at first to buy the S-16XS (shrouded barrel FAC model at 35 ft/lbs) but it would have cost considerably more that the Monsoon or my current Mk.3 without offering any real benefits (other than the extra 7 ft/lbs) over the latter. The build quality of the initial models was highly criticised, they eventually sorted out the bugs but even then, the consensus seemed to be that they were a good rifle if you were lucky enough to get a good one.

As to the FX guns, I've never even seen one in the flesh - indeed ordering something essentially off a catalogue is a first for me - but from what I've read they are well made, accurate and good value for money, relatively speaking. If you're in the UK though I doubt you can get the Monsoon for reasons explained earlier in this thread, because it's FAC only and semi-automatic, which is a grey area legally but not allowed in practice.

You're lucky there, it pains me that I cannot share my greatest joy with her - the best I ever managed was get her to shoot the nailgun-based coin launcher, which she enjoyed, so I'm sure she'll come round eventually

man those guns are definitly nice, too bad i dont have the money to pay for an airgun with a price tag of 800+..haha nor do i have a scube tank to full it up with.

I chose it mostly because it's a semi-auto while the others (except the Revolution) have to be reloaded manually. The Revolution has a bigger reservoir volume so gives more shots per fill, but in my view the Monsoon looks neater and sleeker.

Not enough, apparently here's my current collection:

I only have a Hatsan 1000fps .177 break barrel. But I love that thing. You need a licence for a .22 air rifle in this country unfortunately.

I've see some Hatsans around, not the best rifles on the market but good value for money.

B2B, there's a guy at my club who has a Dragon Slayer, tremendous thing to fire - even just holding on of those 50 calibre slugs in your hand is enough to get you going I was pondering going big bore but the fact that the Monsoon is semi-auto sold me, maybe next year

Where do u live then? Where I live nearly all airguns are illegal if they look like real guns.
