Just wondering, does anyone know how many 6mm BBs these would hold:

> a 2" tee being used as a regular vortex block, with a male socket on one end with a threaded cap

> the same, but with 1.5" fittings

If anyone has had any experience with this (I'm sure someone has) it would be great to know some numbers. I'm tossing up between the 2" and 1.5" as 2" will have greater capacity but I have been told the 1.5" will be more efficient and have less "dead-space"

the amount of deadspace is determined by the ammount of bb's inside along with the size of the vortex block. The difference between the two with the size of a typical vortex block doesn't really create any more noticeable dead space.

Do you have aim, msn or any other chat programs, I can see you have a lot of questions about bbmg's and I'm always here to help.

What about Gmail chat? That runs through the Gmail website, you don't install anything. So you could try that.

Gmail's blocked too, in fact so is spudfiles - under "weapons" - but there are sites called proxies you can use to get around it for some stuff. Gmail and chat stuff doesn't work with it though.

Edit: yeah, the hated websense, even more so because I have it 24/7 except for some weekends.

oh that just means you dont have a good enough proxy :D

Most proxies dont like cookie based applications or forms.

I'll try to find a good proxy... I have this list and I think I have a couple that works with cookie based applications such as gmail etc.

try this one:

http://www.veloxproxy.com/

As far as the exact capacity Im not sure, I typically build inlines due to their increased preformace with the plunger.

Your organization's Internet use policy restricts access to this web page at this time.

*Assholes* I hate my damn school sometimes.

@ Mr Crowley - TradeMe for BBs I guess and btw, damn AcornModels too, the closest they have to .177 bbs is 4mm and 4.8mm, way off.

I don't chat recreationally, it would usually be to organise a booze-up or similar. Speaking of which, tomorrow's Friday yaaa!

revans, I personally would use a 1" tee, given the limited amount of air capacity your launcher will have, to avoid it getting weak quicker.

That would have pretty limited capacity, no? I have no idea how much, but it doesn't seem like much to me, but I'm bbmg noob

Well, you have a pretty limited air capacity to start off with, so why put in more BBs than you can use?

This is how long 2 litres of air at 110 psi lasts me:

Personally it makes more sense it only have as much BBs in the chamber as you can use with one full air chamber, then top up the BBs each time you fill the tank, otherwise you're going to get pretty pathetic power out of it.
