I am saving up to get a green gas airsoft rifle, and ive been hearing all over the internet that you can just use propane instead of the green gas, but I'm not 100% sure, so could it work?

Why not build your own with the money you're saving and run it on HPA.

I 100% agree with MaxuS. More power, less cost, more serviceeability, more customizeable.

In answer to yourr question though, yes, there is a how-to which was posted last week. I urge you to use the search function!

Green Gas is propane mixed with silicone oil.
You can buy an adapter to use propane canisters, it can be found here:

However using propane is not recommended for guns with non metal internal parts because propane adds more power and can destroy the gun. If propane is used in a full metal gun remember that propane doesn't have silicone which lubricates the gun like green gas so for blowback guns it is important that they are well lubricated. If the gun is not luricated it will not slide back as easy and will damage the gun.

should work, just lube it up every once in a while since it has metal parts.

you could always make your own green gas adapter... <a href="http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/how-to- ... 14607.html"> like this one</a>

btw i have personally fired that gun, and rebuilt two of them they are nice as long as you use like .25 to .3g gram bbs. dont bother putting anything lighter through it they will just fly off in some random direction after about 50ft. also, just would like to tell you the hop-up adjust is blocked when you put a scope on it (it gets annoying) one last thing the gun normally develops a wobble in the scope mount after several months of use, this can easily be fixed with Teflon tape. add it to the threads on the outer barrel... i dont know why im telling you all this but hope it helps
