Ok. I have two ideas

For airsoft:
Pellets made of pvc
The increased mass pvc offers allows the pellets to be more accurate and to allow the wind to have less effect

For air rifles:
Plastic 4.5mm rounds
If 4.5mm bbs were made of plastic, they would be safe for airsoft and have insane range and power.

These rounds would be ideal for sniping and improve accuracy overal.

You can get heavyweight airsoft pellets already, and I remember you could get 4.5 and 5.5mm plastic ammunition for airguns, if I recall correctly they were marketed by SMK in the UK.

The thing is, I see people all over the place using hw rounds and still complaining about accuracy. And I'm a yank, so you got to help me get plastic 4.5s in the us

Well, that is a good idea, but i see two problems:
1) Their is no guarantee that the pellet will be properly aerodynamic
2) In my situation, 4.5mm barrels dont come cheap

A heavyweight round might be less prone to wind drift, but fired out of the same gun, it will tend to come out slower and give you a rainbow like trajectory, so unless you can correctly estimate the range you're firing at, and know how much your BB will drop at that range, you're still going to miss your target.

As to 4.5mm plastic BBs, here you go ;)
