A vortex cap is a pvc cap with 2 holes drilled into it. One for a barrel and one for an Air Inlet. A Inline vortex has bb's push from behind into the sides of the vortex block.

So are you trying to make a vortex block out of a piece of 3/4" pvc pipe rather than getting a block of wood and drilling a 3/4" hole?

Are you making a Inline Vortex or a Vortex Cap?
Yeah I was tryign to make an inline vortex, using a vortex cap because I can't make a vortex block cause I lack the equipment to build one. and yes i was going to us a 3/4" pvc pipe. And was curious if it works or not, If not i'm going to go the C-Mag design with the 90degree elbow, I think anyway which ever is easier.

C-mag is really easy and it would be nice because you can always incorporate it into smaller projects. But yes you can use a piece of 3/4 pvc pipe as a vortex block. It is actually what i used on my Coaxial Bullpup Inline vortex found here:

If you want to see a C/D style mag you should check out the RC-P240 in my signature.

Haha congrats on the 1000th Spudbux...

Oh so cool you can incorporate a 3/4" pvc pip into a BBMG inline vortex... Woot you just made my life alot more easier :D. Thanks for all the responses on the topic, you guy's have made my life so much more easier :)

no problem, when you make the vortex cap out of 3/4 pipe make sure that is sits high enough so the barrel is straight.

Well this is my progress so far in collecting materials... operating on 70-90psi 1.5L coke bottle.

Image

All I need now is a 6.2mm inside diametre aluminium tube, pvc pipe for my vortex pvc tube, and plunger + end cap...

The cap i'm using is a 33mm inside diametre coupling which i'll be cutting in half so i can fit it in the inline vortex

if you want i'll make you a vortex block out of nylon block, but doesnt the coke bottle seem a little small for a bbmb?

Haha hey, nah it's 1.5L coke bottle, if you were to to do a nylon block, how are you gonna send it to me, I wish i had extreme mailing lol... i wonder if selling vortex blocks on ebay is illegal... anyway...

i'm slowly working on it... planning a part a day, because i got other things i gotta do in order i was plannign to

1. Air tank
2. Vortex Cap
3. Vortex Inline + Blowgun Fittings
4. Barrel
5. The whole thing

Do you live in Aussie land?
