New Design - Vortex PVC Cylinder

Hey guys,

From basing my ideas from davidvaini, I've thought of a way to making another different style of vortex BBMG and it works quite well although I used a coupling that was 1.25" where it was suppose to be 0.75". I made this gun in like half an hour using the old blow gun in my MP5 Navy BBMG.

There's the plans of the gun.

It's pretty self-explanatory if you know how the vortex cap works, except this design doesn't need a plunger but ramps of some sort to help with the feeding, I think design will make the guns compact when you put it in some sort of gun shell or stock.

Here's the video of the gun, I haven't really added the ramps so thats why the feeding of the ammo and firing wasn't high ROF.

Good job, i am always happy when people find new ideas!

but not if they think coke bottles could be air tank...

Look great! :thumbright:

nothing wrong with that if you use sensible pressures, and if it does fail no dangerous shrapnel is created, it's a bit like bursting a balloon.

it's a bit like bursting a balloon.
Albeit a really loud one  I like the desgin, but I can't imagine the BB capacity is high.

the problem is that you can't use a plunger in this design. You don't need a plunger in any cloud or vortex method, it just makes it function much better. Some people have implemented the slopes, but that only helps a little, and is useless at an angle other than flat. Also, you still have the rattle of the BBs if you don't use a plunger. Despite that, nice ingenuity.

lenta, you have opened my eyes, I'm probably going to make a vortex cap design using the B-Mag Style in spudwiki...

This was just something I thought on the spot and built in like 30minutes. But now my eyes have been opened and see that with the most simpliest of builds, the vortex owns cloud big time :D.

I'm going to label my clouds as BBSMG's and vortex as BBMG's XD

Thanks for the feed back guys.

Ya, the same happens to me all the time. I come up with some ingenious idea, and then realize that oh, maybe they have already figured out a solution to that problem, or my way, although cool, doesn't really help.
Still it is good to keep posting those ideas, as it can inspire others to come up with something truly revolutionary.

Okay...
You guys get my elbow vortex right??

I have a modded brass 1/2" solenoid valve wich, once turned upside down, is a ready made elbow feeder..

Just tale out the diaphram and use it upside down. feed bb's from the " chamber" side with a plunger..and feed air in from the bottom through the ( modded) inserted fitting.
Barrel is located on the traditional side of the valve.

How about that?

Just an fyi you can use a plunger for my vortex cap setup..

I don't think I ever saw that. Could you do a little diagram?
Wait- I read about the elbow vortex, but never saw a pic, and definitely not with the solenoid, I only read about it in the Tee. Still, could you draw us a pic?
