i m just making sure about this so the vortex cap is just a plain old cap with a 3 holes for bbs barrel and air nothing else is needed?

im finishing up the ratios right now. but im getting alot of flak from my parents because there yelling at me over nothing sometimes i think they like yelling at me for fun if there bored or something. then ill draw up a full size plan then buy the stuff then make it =)

then they almost threw out the sheet with all the ratios and dimensions because i didnt get it off the table in 1 minue while watching tv

Trust me, when parents yell, there's almost always a good reason for it. I suggest you sit down with at least one of your parents and discuss in a mature way, what your plans are and why they are important to you. Most important, ask for their help and financial support.

There is NEVER a good reason for your parents to yell. It just shouldn't happen. There may be a reason why they are yelling, but that doesn't mean that they should yell. Just talking to you about it should be enough...

uhh im sure that would work with your parents but not with mine. my mom is very against guns so its very hard to get them without my dad's help. financial support comes out of my own pocket or i wouldn't be asking what the cheapest CO2 regulator is i would just get one. to them nothing is more important then boy scouts and school as far as there concerned until i get eagle and get straight As(which i am very close to ) then they might consider letting me do what ever i want.
another side note i cant get a video game system or a shooting game because they dont want me killing fake things and they think video games rot your brains out even though i play ALOT on the computer

Then you haven't done a good enough job communicating with him about it and you should consider taking up a hobby that requires less maturity.

Parents are naturally protective when it comes this sort of thing, especially if they don't understand what's going on. That's why you need to include them in your plans. Believe me, and I've said this before here, it doesn't help things when they think they have a sneaky little "pyro" in the house. Not that you are, but that's how they may see it.

I AM a parent, 2 kids in college. Most civilized parents I know would relish their kid actually approaching them in a mature fashion that way.

No when i mean no it means no, think of it this way he encourages the boy scouts alot he pushes me to do merit badges and all that. there is a $5 fee each month i pay that myseld so why would he pay for a hobby but not boy scouts.

my dad doesnt tolerate anything mistake one mistake ad your yelled at for 5 minutes it worse if my mom is there because she just repeats everything my dad says which gets very annoying. you need to experience it for yourself i just turned 14. if you met him you wouldsee him as a very wise parent and very good but i dont know about you but i mess up. getting in trobule at school is worse you get yelled at 4ever but that hasnt happend in a couple years

ok once again you would have to see it for yourself its just alot of little things that all add up which make me angry. well it does happen there probably hasnt been 1 day since i could do more then 4 chores that my dad has not raised his voice at me because i coudn't hear him or i thought his idea had a unnesscessary complication.

o yes i would so tell them but there is like a 75% possiblity that they will say no especailly my mom because she dislikes anything that can shoot a projectile. (example) one day out of the blue my dad tells me to put a NERF gun in the garage because it mimic a firearm. i have tired and proved it the best method for my parents is to keep them in the dark as long as possible then reveal it.

what is the mature fashion way because in my house mature means being so responible that you will never ever make a mistake so basically you are prefect which means you can't be yelled at but that has never happened yet
