Ok, so after doing a little bit of research, I have realized that if I spend a little more than the $70ish for the Kobalt regualtor, I could get a 2.5lb or 5lb Co2 tank and a regualtor. I have found tanks, but my question is about this particular regualtor-

It has a 60 psi popoff and a 0-60 psi guage. I would like to make a few minor modifications to it.
Questions-

1- which part of it is the popoff valve?

1.5- I'm assuming it would be ok to replace the popoff with a 120ish psi popoff?

1.5 (2)- I am also asuming that I could replace the guage as well?

I can't make out the manufacturer, which makes identification difficult, but I'll take a couple guesses.

I think the relief valve is the brass piece beside the gauge. It may also have a venting diaphragm. Tough to say for sure.

Replacing the gauge and relief valve will not change the output range of the regulator. You would need to change the spring or add some shims to it.

If you add shims, watch out for coil bind in the spring.

If the coil binds, there is essentially no spring, and the inlet valve sealing off the full bottle pressure will remain open.

I do not recommend that you modify regulators if you are not absolutely certain of what you're doing.

How much outlet pressure are you looking for?

Somehing more like this would be better than trying to mod a reg.

You might have to change the bottle fitting, but that's all.

Actually the reg is adjustable by turning the screw, I would just be replacing the popoff and guage so I could go to 120 psi instead of 60.

What makes you think it has an output pressure of 120psi? I didn't see anything on the ad to indicate that being the case.

The gauges are USUALLY matched to the outlet pressure capability (at least within the standard ranges for pressure gauges anyway).

gippeto allready explained it. you have to change springs, shims and washers, and if done incorrectly it would an epic failure

Yea i have a 60psi beer reg like the one you want if you turn the screw completly in it will only go to 60 psi. Nothing higher, so i bought the high pressure beer reg. That allows me to go to 120psi. Thats probly what you should do.

It's in primary double gauge reg. secton i think thier prices went up i was able to get mine for 35 shipped. The prices are still fine though.
