Guys Im still trying to get that damn Semi Auto working and having a hell of a time trying to source any Aluminium or Carbon Fibre Tube here in Australia with a 6mm ID!??.

I bought a Carbon Fibre Tube I was told had 6mm ID but when I got home it had a smaller ID so is useless to me  .I looked at a few Hobby Shops but again the Carbon Fibre Tubes said to be 8MM OD x 6MM ID all had smaller ID size and all the Brass or Aluminium Tubes were not the right size either and would have way too much blowby for my liking.

I dont know why its so had to get Tube here with 6mm ID!!??, there was a link on here a while ago of someone saying to use Carbon Fibre Arrow Shafts but I cant find that thread now?.Though from memory they were expansive.....

PSE Carbon Force 300 is one arrow that will work.
Go to a local Archery store and ask.

Maybe one of the Americans can put a bb barrel on eBay and you can buy it off them, they label it as precision tubing.

As you're an Australian, go to Aldi, get a $20 pair of digital calipers (They work well, 4 stars), and go through Toyworld's or a hobby shop's aluminium and brass tube rack.

Problem solved. If you want 4.5mm aluminium tubing, 6.5mm OD, look up and go to an amateur radio hamfest. I've got 12 meters of it left in the shed, $1 a meter in three meter lengths.

I think you're confusing "1" with "12". You want expensive arrows? Try protours... $300/doz + $300 for a dozen tungsten points.

Arrow shafts, toy/hobby store brass/aluminium. Easy solved

As I said I tried a few Hobby shops but nothing was a good fit! ....I took a 6mm BB in with me and found nothing that was tight enough.

I have tonight got an email back from an ebay seller of Carbon Fibre Tube who told me lives only 30 mins drive from me has Carbon tube with an ID of 5.85mm and is a good sliding fit with that size which is what my 6mm steel BBs are measuring up as :D

My local gun shop sells blanks, only $4, ask about them, far cheaper.

Should clarify, arrow blanks, for those unaware.

If you have a ToyWorld or hobby store, they usually stock brass and aluminium tubing. Just bring a BB or calipers along so you get the right fit ;D

I bought some just last week for this
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/my-firs ... 23319.html

It's a fraction oversize of what you want

http://www.ultimatetoys.com.au/albion-a ... 16249.html

They also have 1m lengths.

I ordered online and had it at my door in 2 days.

Cheers mate,I went to another hobby shop today when I was out and about picking up parts for work. I found this very same tube you used but they are supose to come in a pack of 3 pcs ,they had 1 piece left so I took that for $4.00.

The 6mm bbs fit perfectly!! BUT sadly they only come in 300mm lengths  but it will have to do for now, just gotta drill out the centre hole bigger on another threaded fitting and silver solder the tube in.

I know I am repeating the same thing over and over again but these days you can find almost everything everywhere

Just an example - a few weeks ago I realized that Castorama (it's like home depot) has a pretty large selection of brass and steel tubing and rods in sizes ranging from 3mm ID to 16mm ID (all in 1m and 1.5m lenghts)

How cool is that ??

6mm drill bit to keep them centred and you can easily epoxy two 300mm lengths together with a sleeve over the join.
