Got bored today, so I decided to clean my room :?
Found out there were 110 bar left in my paintball tank :P , so I thought I´d do something "useful" with it
Mounted my new red dot scope on my favorite set machine gun, set up some targets, opened a new pack of .25G BB, and... Enjoy

Fantastic, I love the noise it makes :D and the phone destruction is a real testimony to the "jackhammer effect"...

I haven't built a "proper" HPA BBMG since I tooled up, perhaps it's time...

Good to heard that Jack :)
Well I´m gonna go full metal with my next BBMG, also small vortex block for lower ROF so a hop-up can be used, still so I´m looking for a way to make the hop-up replaceable  Oh and small chamber so the pressure can build up faster and use less air :)

I'm thinking, since I have 300 bar on tap from my scuba tank, if an overkill BBMG is a good idea :D

Or maybe 200 bar from a paintball tank, with the reg removed... this might get a bit dangerous :)

 I wouldn´t do that.
Are you going to use .177 steel bbs as ammo? If you do, are you going to use a vortex system? Don´t know how long does the vortex last untill wear out

I think this notion of vortex blocks wearing out is a bit of a myth to be honest, I've never seen evidence of a block with grooves cut into it from excess use.

It comes from the "mystical" era on spudtech when making a BBMG was a bit of a black art and no one really knew exactly how they worked.

I opened one of my old BBMG and it had a pvc vortex block, It does have some small grooves in it :) some of them are probably because when I pull the trigger, the fast air input push some of the bbs that were in the way upward before they exit from the barrel.

Long gone :? , didn´t thought it was anything revelent... But I make sure next time open this BBMG I will check out the vortex block and take some photo, it probably has some wear out.
Has anybody here ever taken a BBMG to a airsoft game?

I would not recommend it. Power of the individual BBs may be low, but rate of fire makes up for it and it could be very dangerous.

The only safe use I can imagine is indirect fire to pelt an area with BBs to simulate mortar or artillery fire.

I thought about taking mine once I finished... maybe not... on a test fire it went into a wall :D (solidly, like it was stuck there and you could rub it and it wasn't loose)

I took it once, it works like a long range shotgun :) quite wasty against single targets, but good for suppressing a group. The air source it´s the biggest problem, even a full 0.8l paintball tank won´t last more than half minute of continue firing
