ok so i want to make a .177 full auto airgun. But im not sure what design to use.i want decent power but i also want consistent feed of bbs when firing i considered a cloud but it dosent seem like it would deliver the power and feed consistency i want. then i considered a vortex block but it seems difficult to make.what type of design should i use? i have a qev but idk what to use as my pilot my qev looks like the one on this compressor

If a vortex bbmg is too difficult for you, you better do more research/training, instead of continue, it will probably a wast of money and time. If you go for the qev+pop off, you will need to modify it, allowing chamber fill, also a very well made blow forward bolt plus magazine. So it's even more complicate than a bbmg vortex, witch it's already difficult to make for you.

You might be better off going with semi auto.

I can make a vortex block I'm just lazy lol I'll probably build one though any way if I make should I have a larger housing or a smaller one like 2 in PVC or 3in as the main chamber? How would it affect performance?

Would it be easier or more difficult to make a semi auto? Because if I make a semi auto I'd want to make a powerful one I wold rather not order a slide valve because I want to build something today and I only have access to a menards lowes and homedepot but none sell slide valves

idk of any QEVs on compressors get a better pick of it. it will be harder to make a semi then full auto and the smaller you chamber the more power you'll get also use a long as barrel that's tight fit with the ammo.

Ok. Thanks I can go to a store tonight idk what to get yet though ,I leaning toward a pcp bolt action or some bolt action I can get multiple shots off of however I may make both . I'm using a empty modified oxygen tank(used with mini torches it's a little bigger than a small mapp gas bottle.) as my air tank , where can I find animations and pictures of simple bolt action designs ?
Sorry if I'm not sticking to one idea (some people are irritated by it) I have multiple things I wanna do thanks

First figure out exactly what it is you want to make. Take into consideration things like power, accuracy, portability, multi shot capability, available tools and machines, and so on. Then we'll talk about how to build it.

Ok my final plan
I want to make a breech loading multi shot air rifle
I want to get 10 or more powerful shots off a 20 oz co2 tank . I would add a regulator of course and run the co2 to the gun using a remote line. I am either going to use .22 ,.25, or .357 pellet depending on what's most available. I want to make this gun look very nice and neat but I don't want to have a to complicated design I'm leaning towards a hammer valve since I already have one . Should I drill the hole bigger on it because the hole is sized to be used in a .177 air rifle ? The hole is 6mm aprox. Right now . I have a angle grinder a bench grinder ,drill press, currently making a router but might make a table saw instead I have drills saws heat guns a lot of wrenches and a welding ,brazing and cutting kit and I'm sure I'm forgetting some tools. Should the hammer valve be suitable ?

A hammer valve doesn't sound like the right option here. Are you planning on having the co2 tank refilled with co2 or are you going to fill it with relatively low pressure air? I'm not entirely clear on that.

A bit like this? QEV and a slide valve with a 20 oz air tank will easily get you 10 good shots.

I get about 4-5 good shots with .22 pellets at around 200 psi.
