Hey guys. Found this cool animation on classic airsoft forum. Thought it is pretty relevant to here.

edit
eh, the gif is a bit messed up when viewed in the file attachment. Enlarging it fixes it for me

Yeah, happens with the uploader preview.

Seems like a hell of a lot of work to end up with a farter..

The intake valve will be blown open when exposed to pressure and the bolt slides back to expose the magazine before pressure hits the projectile...

Seems like whoever designed it doesn't have real world experience.

Apart from all the little misses in the scematic...

Blowforward seems to be superior to this design in every way.

Hell...my "snapvalve"and blockerbolt combo would put this design to shame any day.

You could fix the problems by modifying the bolt a little. This is probably not a exact specifications, just showing roughly how it works.

And I think the designer probably had a lot of real world experience, since this system is very popular in classic airsoft guns. Escort based gas airsoft guns are always sought after.

And you're right, blowforward is more efficient, but this system gives you the recoil that you feel in real firearms. Blowforward's recoil feels weird

:D
Rookie...

Nah..I get the desire for realistic feel and operation. It would't be bad for airsoft if the dimensions were corrected and the pushbutton reversed.
If the plunger looking thing on the far right with the big spring would hit the in-valve that would be even better....
held back by a trigger and sear..

or if the trigger would disengage after the shot as it is now...
