Does anyone know any detailed information about how the crosman night stalker works. I am going to build something similar to it and I was wondering if anyone knew what type of velve it has or how it releases the co2.

Also are there any upgrades for the crosman pumpmaster 760? I am looking for a rifled barrel or any other upgrade but I cannot find any.

Use about 20 pumps instead of the recommended 2-10. :D Much more fun!
Don't take it apart, you'll never get it together again.
You can silence the pump by putting fiberglass insulation inside it, and you can make a silencer out of some PVC and larger size brakeline.

This is all the pumpmaster 760, just so you know.

I already pump the pump master to 20, it is fun to sell the pellets rip through the small metal spray cans espicially silly string. I already took my pump master apart before, it was a female dog to get back together, but does anyone have any information of the night stalker?

As far as I know the valve is similar to the 2240 above, with the difference that there's a blowback mechanism which recocks the hammer and rotates the magazine with every shot.

Thank you for the diagram. I think I might build an air rifle around this valve. I do not think that the night stalker uses blow back to cycle the magazine. I think the trigger cycles the magazine.

Do you think that if I increased the size of the bottle of c02 that the design of the gun would still work or not. Would it be able to keep the pressure or would it all explode.

Also does anyone haveany other good homemade airgun designs. I do not feel like buying a new gun so I decided to try and build my own.

if your using co2 without a reg like most crossman guns please for f**ks sake be careful, if you make it wrong or out of the wrong materials it could end up pretty messy.

i have looked for plans on hammer valve and cant seem to find them anywhere

it could be the blow-back simply re-cocks the hammer. you might want to have a look at the crosman 1077:

It uses the trigger to recock the hammer and cycle the mag, pretty much like most CO2 designs.

I would advise against making your own, it's a lot of effort and the result you'll get probably won't be any better than a cheap shop-bought model. I think you'd be better off buying a cheapo rifle and modifiying it (stronger hammer spring, longer barrel etc.)

Thanks fore the picture. I cannot tell clearly by the photo, but id the co2 in the foregrip or the stock? I already hade a pumpmaster 760 which is why I am now trying to build a rifle. I want it to be co2 because I hate having to pump so many times.

the CO2 capsules are housed in the tube marked 1077-017

Is the c02 the 10 gram or is it larger? If it is the 10 gram how powerful is it and how many shots do you get out of it?

it uses the 12 gram CO2 capsules and gets around 40 shots per capsule.

Then how powerful are the shots? If you get forty shots out of a 12 gram then the shots cannot be that powerful. Also which is the most powerful type of gun: break barrel, pneumatic, or co2?

has anyone ever modified their semi-auto pellet gun to run off of HPA? just a thought, youd get much more powerful shots out of it............ however, it might be hard to build the adapter.

the reason im asking is my dad wants a pellet gun, and i showed him the nightstalker. he wanted it, but when he saw its lowish FPS, he was detered.

if i could hook up the HPA system from my Paintball gun, i have a feeling i could get far more consistent and more powerful shots.......
