would it be better to tamper the hole you drill in the vortex block so it is wider in the center, really don't want to make a drawing of it but lets say in a cut out drawing of a normal vortex block the the egde would form a line because the hole is drilled strainght though instead what if it were an arc and was curved so air and bbs would be pulled to the center of the block and out of the barrel I think this would be done with a mini mill or dremel

I think you're gonna have to go with a diagram, I can't make sense of what you're saying. :D

That sounds like it would work pretty well, great idea :P

I don't think that would help, personnally, unless you made a regular (boring crappy jam-a-lot) full hole vortex block. Which you don't want to make anyways.

i did that on my last inline full hole vortex, it pretty much ended in failure becuase i forgot to put shrouds on it. it was made from bondo im sure it would have worked if i put shrouds on it. my new one (meant to replace the bondo one) is made from layered lexan (several pieces of normal thickness lexan sandwiched together with CA glue to hold them in place) its 1/2 thick like noname's acrylic blocks but it isnt as prone to shattering when being drilled. but watch out when you drill it at high speeds the CA glue boils releasing some kind of gas that made me almost black out (i wonder what would happen if i encased thermite in CA glue... maybe a gas grenade of some sort.... )

What do you mean by "normal thickness Lexan?" I can get it in sheets in thicknesses of 1/32" up to 1/2."

yea you see the home depot near me only sells like 1/8 lexan and i hate paying for shipping (i assume you have to like special order that kind of stuff) and that makes me wonder why don't you make the blocks out of lexan? that stuff is literally bullet prof

the shrouds are the parts of sheet metal that cover half the hole of the vortex block, well I believe that tampering should help in a similar way only all the way around
