Erm, a 3.5 gram projectile travelling at 827fps has 0.5*0.0035*252^2 = ~111 joules, or ~82ft/lbs of kinetic energy. EVBEC's muzzle energy output programming must be screwed up.
Don't shoot the messenger :D

OH LORDY- JSR HAS CHANGED HIS SIG!
Any relevance JSR? Like did you get in an almighty fight??

Oh, not this again...

I did practically the same thing in EVBEC 1.4

Here is the problem:
1) I calculate the muzzle energy in joules
2) I convert (incorrectly) this into foot-pounds

Specifically, I'm dividing by .7376 instead of multiplying.

This means that all our European friends have been getting the correct answer... but we haven't.

Very sorry about that.
Well bugger me :P

No particular reason, just rotating the fight club quotes to keep things fresh ;)

Nice :) some personal favourties:
Any ship can be a minesweeper... once.

A slipping gear could let your M203 grenade launcher fire when you least expect it. That would make you quite unpopular in what's left of your unit.

When in doubt, empty yout magazine.
