Nothing spectacular here, I bought some new ear muffs and a new barrel for the cannon and wanted to make sure both worked reasonably well at a 10x dry fire. The air muffs did pretty well considering the large bore barrel and the fact my garage door was closed, the barrel didn't fail at the epoxy joint so I'm happy with that too.

Surely you mean ear muffs?MrCrowley wrote:I bought some new air muffs
Did you make the join as discussed? Note that a dry fire doesn't put it under too much stress, pressure increases greatly with a projectile in the barrel...the barrel didn't fail at the epoxy joint so I'm happy with that too.

Yup, the joint is pretty much how it is in the image I sent you.
I figured as much but didn't really have the room or backstop required to fire a projectile in my garage (was raining outside today) and my main concern was the heat weakening the joint.

Awesome hybrid considering it's made from spare parts?
i wish i had the knowledge to build something like this, or even a simple hybrid without hundreds of questions buzzing around my head :sad8:
