Hello all spud gun lovers,

My name is Jesse, My company (Krap Factory) and I are holding an event for spud and spud gun lovers of all kinds. We are working on getting a beer tent for the adults, and food vendors. There will also be local vendors. Lodging from 4+ hotels within a mile from the range. Chili fry cook off, demonstrations, games for the kids, test your trap speed and more.

Come one come all to the 1st annual Michigan Spud Fest 09'.
October 3-4, 2009. Prizes for all classes:

Best of Show

Spud Target Competition: pneumatic, combustion

Spud Mortar Competition: pneumatic, combustion

French Fry Relay: shoot as many spuds down range into a 12"x12" stainless fry cutter in 3 mins. (Plexi duct behind target leads to bucket) ,
After your times up with the spudgun, your teamate runs down field to retrieve a 5gal. bucket with cut fries and water, making sure not to spill any. Now that the shooter has gotten aquainted with the fry cook, and assuming you got some frys in your bucket. Its cookin time. Comp. is judged by weight of cooked frys. 3 teams at a time.

Sounds cool, I live by Lansing but I probably can't attend this year as I won't have my drivers license to get there.

I'll go If enough people consider going to this event. Also I don't know if alcohol is such a good idea for a place with powerful cannons and kids. Oil and water if you know what I mean

We were thinking the same thing with the alcohol. But we also are hoping to make this more than just a spud gun thing to. We will have an ambulance available on sight. If something should happen to go wrong.

The economy has slowed down quite a bit here in Michigan, so we are looking to start a fun and cheap past time kind of thing. And who doesn't love spuds.

Videos and pictures will be up soon for some of the events

Sounds good. I am looking forward to it already. I think it's going to be pretty cool competing in events and stuff. Can't wait.
