Since we're getting creative with minis, here's one for those looking for a cool project, say you had to make four pneumatic pen guns and take an old cellphone case...
Been done before in 22 rimfire of course, ah well.

its cool... but here in the Uk, you'll probably get more funny looks walking round with that brick of a phone than if you roam the streets with a handgun
and as for the pengun side of things... there arn't too many phones about that are large enough to get decent power... but i'm sure someone still has their brick laying around.

"Only when handled is the extra weight noticeable?"
Well... duh?
Like extra weight is going to be noticed by looking at it, listening to it or smelling it.
Who annotates this crap?

Taking my design that basically fits in a 7mm diameter tube, you could easily have 4 barrels side by side in a Nokia 3310. Besides, this wouldn't be made of street carry, just for coolness factor
Cool! Concealed weapons.
The government must hate this though.
Besides the extra weight, the cell phone can be recognized as not being a cellphone:
-The cocking lever
-The muzzle holes (could make a plastic cover which is shot through and replace it after firing)
-The phone is not functional
You will ask, who the hell wants to check if your phone is functional?
Well, security people may do if you are trying to bring the phone into something like an airplane or some other restricted area.
When I go to a rave party you always get checked for possible weapons or drugs. One time, they also wanted to see whether my phone was functional. It is easy to take the battery out and replace it for anything you want to smuggle inside and security officers know that.
Though still for some reason, nearly all people visiting the event seem to have *that* look in their eyes...
But anyways, why would you want to smuggle the weaphone into an airplane or something like that.
Next time someones bragging "look what kind of gadgets my phone has" you you can shut him op without saying a word.

They press the keypad to see if it turns on, and the find that it is VERY functionalYou will ask, who the hell wants to check if your phone is functional?

Well in the case of trying to smuggle it in some where: -have a functional second phone and if the metal detector beeps give some plausible excuse(or jsut say its your phone(have them next to each other like one in your underwear and oen in your pocket.
I do not advice or recomend any one does the above, it is just a little brain stroming, none of it is ment serious
But i like the idea, oh and you could make a pretty cooul one shot pneumatic in a phone...But with those damed i phones comming out^we would have to be even more creative.

john, they will ask you to remove the phone from your pocket and walk though the detector again
Its not that simple.

Wouldn't be 1985 for sure. Handheld cellphones didn't start coming out until 92-93 or so...."carphones" or big soft bag portable phones were still very much the rage before that.Ragnarok wrote:Okay... is it from 1985 or something?inonickname wrote:I found a mobile big enough to fit 3 .50 cal shells in..might try that.
You could have had a wireless house type phone that looked like this in 1985...
Motorola DynaTAC. First Mobile telephone approved by the FCC... in 1983. :tongue3:starman wrote:Wouldn't be 1985 for sure.
Not practical, but it was the world's first self contained mobile telephone.
