Ignitor

Miniature guns are novelty custom, unique, and sometime downright crude! Common construction materials often include pill bottles or pens. Show us your work!

What kind of sparker are you asking about, flint or piezo?

Piezo sparkers never "run out", though sometimes the hammer mechanism fails with use and the piezo quits working. The piezo electric crystal itself will never "run out".

Flint sparkers wear out the small piece of flint. You can buy replacements for cheap at most places that sell lighter refill cylinders.

First approximation... exactly the same as full size gun.

Second approximation... slightly less than a full sized gun.

Go to your local plumbing joint and buy a full size hot water heater sparker, that cost like $10 Australian and last forever, or you go to where they are building a new Estate and pitch every last piezo in your leisure time.

Peace

Just get a battery powered BBQ igniter. You can interchange it between cannons and it lasts forever.

Yes peizos can wear out. Battery BBQ's are my personal favorite, because they're reliable and easy to use.

EDIT: Crud dead topic
