mini hybrid idea

hey everyone i just had a thought and i think it may work (i'm a noob so i don't no if it will)

my thought was that if i got a big suringe and made the operning bigger i could stick half a pen in it and then super glue it there. after that i will put a burst disk of some sort and then the rest of the pen. the good part is that to load the gas in all i will have to do is pop the end bit of (the bit u push to make stuff come out the other end) and put gas in there then put the ''plunger'' back on and push to preasure the gas and air then click the bbq sparker (witch will be conected to 2 wires in the chamber as normal) and away u go!

this is my first post so it's a bit bad.
sorry for the bad spelling to.
please comment about it i would like to hear wot u have to say.
thanks

I see a few flaws in this idea.

1) Syringes aren't pressure rated, so it's generally not a good idea to have an explosion in them.

2)When you ignite the mixture, it is going to create large amounts of pressure that will launch the plunger from the syringe. This will probably hurt you quite a bit since you are holding the whole thing.

Sorry, but good try. Keep being innovative! And I'm not sure what kind of cannons you have made, but I would stay away from hybrids until you have quite a few under your belt.

thans for the feed back
i have made 4 big combustion canons and 2 small ones so i am trying to build something different and i see your point with the hole plunger being launched at u thing. that might hurt a bit.

For a hybrid, you should make it out of something other than PVC (that's just my opinion there, but I don't like flying plastic shrapnel). Black steel could be good if you don't know how to weld.

You also need to have some sort of a fuel metering system. I would suggest finding out how to do that on a combustion cannon before going to hybrid.

Since the fuel is pressurized, you need a much hotter spark to ignite it. This can generally be accomplished with a stun gun or flyback circuit.

Check the wiki and use the search engine in the future as you could have found most of this on you own, and in much more detail too.

It seems to me that you should probably research a lot more, as these cannons are incredibly powerful and can create extremely high pressures. A lot of care must be taken when messing with forces of such high magnitudes. A hybrid is a whole different beast than a combustion and usually requires planning and careful construction, whereas a combustion can be slapped together with little or no consequences.
