I haven't seen anything of the piston yet, maybe when I come home :)

JSR, heat the piece just enough that the beeswax melts to it, just rub the hot piece with beeswax to get a good layer of it

Ah... sounds sexy ;) but not as much as:
Though you might get MOAR orders if you replace the blade with something less sharp and rounder

Very nice work JSR.

Here is the only improvement that I could come up with for the less lethal crowd! :D

Also safer in your room for less collateral damage!

hehe if only... I reckon a couple of these would easily pay for the lathe.
Piston arrived!
Good to hear :)

:D :D :D

Don't worry, this one will be finished, a couple of final videos made, then it will be put away. I'm more worried about damaging the blade than the target!

Man I feel like an asshole.

Good work JSR, I'm only a month late...

I personally find it scary that you've acquired the facilities to machine precision steel parts.

But top notch work as always. I think I could have expected this from you when your only tooling consisted of hand tools and syringes.

Cheers :)

Blackener finally arrived today, bit of a rushed job but now I can call it finished. Here it is in action, note how much easier and effortless firing is with a larger collar:

Some more final (promise ;)) photos:

Awsome!
I envy your machining and now also your etching capabilities!

One of the best looking pieces on this site now.
For real!
It is professional looking, functions superb, has more character than DeNiro and everyone wants one!

As useless as a ballistic knife would be in a real combat situation ..( maybe to throw your opponent off)...it is the coolest thing in the world...!!!

That video will go viral I tell ya.

Will you be blackening the lows on the aluminium grip??
Can't think of anything else to add really... :D

JSR,
Excellent in appearance and function. Nice penetration in Senor Happy Face.
