Are you perchance referring to the Damn Fast Turbo Valve?

I haven't actually seen that one before. Not sure what I was thinking of, but it's okay. I'm doing a research project on piston valves so I was just trying to find the OG piston valve. I can do without that bit of info though! Thanks guys.

I have something making progress.. had some spare time today, so I got to machine the threads to chamber and barrel. Still missing few fittings.

Barrel is aluminium, 50mm inside (5mm wall thinkness), fittings are forged & machined 316 ss.

I know that I should make it a high mix hybrid, but.. something drives me to make it a very good pneumatic one. Maybe because it would be so much easier to go shooting with pneumatic then a hybrid, no batteries and not many valves, gauges and pipes etc.
Even relatively low pressure, like 10 bar would make this thing way more powerful, then what I need for "fun" shooting outside.

I have my big pistonvalve hybrid, I don't think I need two :D

But ! I won't disappoint you, I have some very cool special ideas for this build

Heresy!

:D

I definitely see your point, pneumatics might have less power potential but many times they are less of a hassle to shoot.

ITWOST:

Met a salesperson from a local paintball/airsoft enterprise yesterday..who was touring local companies looking for customers.
He was writing out coupons hoping to find new customers....

Hmmm... :D

As I'm not really interested in playing paintball myself I asked him if I could build him an aircannon instead..
Basically explained to him that depending on what he is willing to spend...I can build it.
Confetti and T-shirt launchers, cannons, mortars, etc.etc.
He seemed genuinely interested.
He was even interested in (my) high power airguns, said they were looking to expand in that direction...
Offcourse the pictures of Lil'Shat didn't hurt.. :D

He then asked me if I could maybe service paintballguns aswell.
Not that I've ever opened one up...but I figured...if I can build a semi/full auto assault rifle from scrap it won't be a problem.

He asked me to send him an Email explaining what I do.
He'll discuss the matter with his ( I believe two) assosiates to determine if I could possibly be of service.

I'm hoping for a shot.....so to speak!!

Seems to good to be true....Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

The main difference you'll find with modern paintball guns and your creations - obviously beyond the electro-pneumatic assemblies that make them spit out 30 balls per second - is the tiny o-rings, and the excessive fussy-ness with the amount of pneumatic grease you apply to said o-rings haha.

Other then that your golden! Congrats! The paintball industry may be on a bit of a technical down-swing, but it's a cyclical industry for sure - with lots of awesome pneumatic assemblies!

Hmmm...haven't heard back from him yet....

Must be a busy guy..

To put it in perspective:
Last night I watched "invent it rich" where inventors can show their product and a businessman chooses one or several products to invest in..

One of those products was "liquidoff" wich makes textiles aquafobe, liquids just slide off.
Downside is the stuff needs 48 hours to soak in...
Nevertheless they got the investment..
I thought they had missed an application wich would certainly make them money: weddingdresses.

Who would not want red wine to just roll off their dress without leaving a stain, right?
Plenty of time in advance to prepare the dress...

Today I sent them this idea ( they seemed like nice guys)...said I watched the show in Europe etc..etc...... and within a matter of hours I got a personal response..

They agree that their product would be perfect for weddingdresses and the inventor actually thanked me for the idea.
Personally...within hours...
Very cool!

Yeah...
Paintballdude must be very busy... :D

Moral of the story...??

ITWOST,

I stumbled across this guy's YouTube Channel...

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZPyWR ... 4q6Ek3NrhQ

Anyone seen his work before or know who he is? Seems like some interesting creations and a good bit of professional level machining involved (at a university I'm assuming?)

Impressive.
From what I read from the video, the cannons seems like coaxial piston cannons, triggered pneumatically or via QDV with a pneumatic cylinder to automatically return the valve spool (MK16 and MK11).
I think they maybe a subdivision of a industrial company, since their name is 巴波重工 which translate to TomoeNami heavy industries

Toolies piston. Venting is a little unique...and good. Nice design work.

Can see how it works at :10 in the video.

A little sad that he would be in serious legal trouble if he tried to fire projectiles...
