Dewey if you are talking about the "no-drill" sprinkler modification How-To, I thought I had made it clear that the flow control was too large for a 1/4" NPT.
I'm going to try to a get a 1/2" one though.

Yeah, I know. You could do that, but a large slop of epoxy would work very well.
That's what Joel does, and that's where I learned that.

Thanks for the advice I think I figured out how I'm going to do it. I'm going to use a 1/2" NPT fitting in the flow control valve. EDIT: I'm actually going for the 3/8" If I don't have a tap, what size drill bit should I use? (I kind of half-disassembled the flow control because the spring rested on part of the it, so I left that part in and took out the rest)
Dewey I'd love to see those pics, etc. Thanks in advance.

A quick question:
If I'm not using a tap, what size drill bit should I use to drill a hole for a 3/8" male NPT?
I know for 1/4" NPT you use 1/2", but I'm not sure about 3/8".
Sorry about double post.

i would try 1/2, then heat the nipple up with a blow tourch and thread it in because there is not common size between 1/2 and 3/4 that i know of.
