Mounting Project Box?

I was just wondering what you all thought was the best way to mount a project box to a chamber. I don't want to drill into the chamber more than I have to, also I'm worried that it could shock the board in my project box if the spark jumped to the screws. My brother mentioned velcro, but I can't see it holding up a box with a heavy 9.6V R/C car battery. I am also not too keen on the oversized hose-clamp looking things that people use to mount their boxes. lol... ya I know I'm very picky, but I was just hoping someone else would have a better alternative. Thanks all.

Cheers :)

Ya you already said velcro and hose clamps thats would be your two best options in my opion. If your trying to find some big hose clamps and you cant find any go to a hard ware store and ask for clamps for your dryer tubing. Two hose clamps would be good one on each end.

I would prefer velcro to be honest, but has anyone tested it? Could it hold up a battery plus misc. wires/switches? Is there like industrial velcro you can buy? Thanks

Well, lets try this, or contemplate it. Use velcro, but for better fastening, put two small pipes on the side of the chamber and put one side of the velcro over them to make a flat square, and the other side of the velcro goes on the project box.

Normal velcro should work, Ive used it to hold pretty heavy things up, The way I drew it out, it should hold up fine and look pretty decent, Id say.

great idea! I think that will definately work... just one question though... how would I mount the pipes to the chamber? super glue? pvc glue?

Oh yea, didnt think of that, lol. Well, that would be important, why not just cut the pipes in half and glue them to the gun? Should work them same and pvc glue should work.

go with the velcro, get it to run the whole lenght of the box, or you could cut a small alit in the bottom so the box reests on the pipe and the nget some gorilla glue and glue it on there, tell us how it works out.
