How horrible it was back then, that the little kiddies with they're fragile little minds weren't protected from themselves. And look how far we've come now, people try to ban sh*t and people still get hurt from the stuff that has already been banned (like they always have and always will), looks like its workin real well fellas!
Maybe they should try banning stupidity, that would solve a lot of the problems right there, except that would mean the majority of the media and politicians would go to jail, but that would probably be a good thing.
Here here, if we keep on wrapping the youth of the nation in cotton wool we're going to raise western nations full of pussies, good luck resisting foreign invasion then.
Thats what I am saying! The kids future won't even have to get paper cuts. Its sickening. No pain, no gain. Americans are all going to be lethargic and defenseless.

As George Carlin said:

"Kids these days need a helmet for everything except jacking off."

Seriously, as bad as I feel for the kid, I think looking down the barrel of a cannon and pulling the trigger is kind of nature's way of saying you shouldn't be joining the air force anyways.

I'd love to ramble n, but i'm preaching to the converted anyways, night folks.

Youd think that if someone knows the physics of spud guns you would think theyd realise what would happen if you put your face in front of a loaded cannon and pulled the trigger. Now Im not against guns or Americans in general its just how the country is run. They let fear rule. Thats why people are becoming pussies. the movie "Bowling for Columbine" is good at demonstrating this point.

Also has anybody written in to the Darwin Awards about this kid? Thats an honourable mention

"Kids these days need a helmet for everything except jacking off."
And sometimes they need a helmet for that too, or at least eye protection.

LOL killjoy that was the best, but then again who would be stupid enough to have " it " pointing at there face anyway....

Unless they had some kind of scary fetish....

Back on topic i think he deservid it, what did he think was going to happen when he looked down the barrel of a loaded sppudgun and pulled the trigger...

Sometimes accidents happen. A friend of mine came into school one day with a red eye, and no one knew why. He finnaly admitted to me he had lost control of "it" and scored a direct hit in the eye that morning in the shower.

The more I read about these incidents and how people are trying to "better" society by banning/raising "awarness" about this stuff, the more I think the concept of the movie "Idiocracy" is possible.

@JSM - That is hilarious, it made my night lol.

Speaking of Darwin awards and such, last night i watched this movie called The Darwin Awards, it was very good, not a documentary or anything, its kinda a movie about an X FBI profiler trying to create a profile for Darwin cases for an insurance company.
