Well Sea World sucked because half the stuff was closed, and the shamu(sp?) whale show was 90% bullsh|t, 10% whale.

Did a bit of shopping, not at hardware stores, I hate how you ad tax on at the counter, it's not included in the price.

Good day today, went to a HD, spent $150USD
Got a bunch of 2" PVC fittings, loads of galv fittings, brass fittings, 4x 1" sprinkler valves with blow guns, 2x 300psi guages and some other stuff, it was soo cheap, .89c for a 2" end cap, I pay $13NZD which is about $10USD in NZ.

Also just got back from Monty Python's Spamalot, it was hilarious, very funny, I'm lovin' Vegas.

You pay $13 for a PN18 endcap...Wow....I pay $5 or so here in AUS,really expensive in NZ.

Yeah because we import from you guys, and you guys make the fittings yourself which probably ends up costing you more then if they imported them from America.

They're NSF-PW Sch 40 fittings, similar thickness I really don't care, it holds similar pressure. You can buy bags full of 3/4" fittings for $3, i may buy some and sell 'em for $50 in NZ

Most galv fittings are about $1.20, and even 1.5" fittings rarely go over $2. i'm just gonna stock up big, maybe get another sprinkler valve, a few more guages, some 1/4" ball valves for the QC's I bought.

Where are the threaded schraders located?

If I lived here I would make a new gun every weekend, the prices are so cheap. 10' lengths of 2" pressure pipe are only a few dollars

Welcome to America MrCrowley, the land of fat people and cheap PVC.

You can get two kinds of schraders, the automotive kind can be had at almost any autoparts store, look for NAPA stores, Advantage Auto Parts etc. Those schraders will have rubber seals and stuff for sealing them to endcaps and through drilled holes.

Also in Home Depots, Lowes etc. you can find them by the brass fittings and gauges. Those schraders will not have rubber seals but they are 1/8" NPT and will screw right into brass or other fittings. They are around the same price. Teflon is easier than drilling holes through endcaps, I find. They can be a little hard to find (small and stuff), ask one of the store associates in the plumbing department.

Also, quick connects for air compressors, I know are crazy cheaper over here, you will find those by the compressors.

But I heard they have them under the name air tank valves

IIRC, HD doesnt carry schraders...Also, nice job...How do you plan to get it all back to NZ though? That fittings idea is a good idea....and $10 for an endcap! My god. You must spend hundreds on a simple pneumatic... >_>. I think importing plumbing products from America to NZ may be a good buisness...

In American customs you can have two bags per person each up to 23kgs! I'm gonna stock up huge, I only brought one bag that weighed 6kgs over, so i'll get another and fill it.

I'm now in Bakersfield, CA. Vegas was pretty cool, i'm of to SF tomorrow.

Haha, you spend an entire day shopping at HD? I'm guessing 9 - 10? I'm not 100% positive. May open 8AM as well though...

Not yet, but i'm working on it, with a Wal*Mart, Lowe's, Ace, HD and Fastenal all in a 1mile vicinity I rekon I could.

The Home Depot near me opens at 6:30 AM, except for Sunday and Saturday (7:00).
