Pressure from a CO2 cartridge?

I know that they make CO2 Cartridges to fill up bikes, and "whatever else" has a Shrader on it... My question is, does anyone know how much pressure an 8g, 12g, and 16g cartridge has? I'm trying to build a tee-shirt cannon for my school.

If anyone knows exactly, or about how much, I'd appreciate it.

If it's CO2, then the pressure depends on the tempreature, usually they're around 800psi I believe, but are usually regulated down to a lower, safer pressure.

Hey
They are at around 800psi, all CO2 is stored in liquid from at around 800psi.

I would use a paint ball tank and a regulator. It will be much cheaper and easier in the long run. You wont get many shots out of 1 cartridge, then you have to throw it away. If your launching t-shirts, you might need more than one cartridge for a decent shot. I have tried it on a marble gun. only got 2 decent shots at like 60psi out of one 12g cartridge. Spend like $100 and get the tank and reg, it will be much better

I am very disappointed to hear that
Only a true spudder would turn one mans trash into ammunition.

Lol
That depends how creatively you can "throw" something away
Iv never had a barrel the right size for a CO2 cartridge :(

Something else that may be of interest to you would be "How much CO2 can a certain size chamber hold?" If that is the case, the wiki has the answer:

That is an incredibly handy formula. There is a similar page about the 9 and 20 oz tanks and also big bulk tanks on the WIKI here.

Does anyone know if there is a good info site on figuring out how many shots you can get off a 9 or 20 oz tank given your chamber CI and what you set the regulator to?

Either that or does anyone know the formula that is used in that calculation?

It would be handy to know to figure out if a tank system makes sense for larger cannons. I tired it once with my tennis ball cannon and got 2 shots off a 20 oz tank. Needless to say that got the boot due to being way too expensive for my tastes. I haul arround an air compressor now when I shoot it.
