rubber seal for a piston

i was just wondering what type of rubber to seal the barrell everyone uses for their piston, what thickness too...

If you can find them, neoprene washers work excellently. Don't get the thick ones though, look for ones which are about 1/8 of an inch thick. Don't know how many milimeters that works out to be.

k thanks for that, i'll try the neoprene

no home depot in oz.

we got stores like bunnings, mitre 10, which are just general building suplies stores

I use bike (inner tube) tire rubber.
Bolt it onto your piston and cut down to size.

thanks for the help guys, went to the locla clark rubber store

got some sheet neoprene 1.5 and 3mm thick


seams to be working great,
