I was surfing the net for halloween tricks and found this site about diy projects.

What really caught my eye was the Concussion Cannon, which blasts compressed air through a small hole to achive a loud sound and shockwave that reverbrates through the entire body.

It appears to be just a chamber attacked to a sprinkler valve attached to a reducer. However, the fittings are metal even though the cannon is operated at only 60 psi. Could I use PVC instead? That sould be cheaper and easier, and I see no reason why metal is needed. Check it out, and maybe use it yourself!

i would say that you could aslong as it is pressure rated. though the rapid pressurization would be bad.
