I just wanted to make sure it was safe because i agree with what regre said that extremely sharp shards of pvc will really hurt if it wasn't safe to use

I basically made an exact clone of this gun for my first spud gun!!! It works great and I wouldn't even dream of changing the trigger system. It may be an extra 5 bucks for batteries but it is so worth it when your trigger looks like it was made by the military. what I like best about this design is the fact that you can have different sized barrels and chambers to suet different needs. Even though this was only my first gun, it still shoots farther than any other one that I have!

how do you get that? DWV is a type of PVC, you need to see a pressure rating (xxxPSI) and NSF-PW on a pipe to know its pressure rated, most fittings will only show NSF-PW and those ones are pressure rated

you shouldnt go over 100 psi, PVC isnt even designed for air pressure.

There is little difference between the effect of air and the effect of water on a pipe.
Furthermore, the pressure rating on 4" sch 80 pipe is only 45% (320 vs. 220) higher than that of 4" sch 40. However, you guys don't seem to have any problems putting more than 200 PSI in sch 80 with your hybrids - yet you'll limit pipe rated to 260 PSI to 100 PSI? What if the build the launcher out of 1.5" pipe - should they limmit themselves to 100 PSI, while you guys submit pipe rated to a lower pressure to spike loads and pressures above the ratings of some components?

And anyway, I was talking about the ratings - which where written for the intended use of the material, water usage.
