Thanks MrC.

Anyone who feels like it feel free to explain why you picked a certain video as your favorite.

I think I'm going to have to sleep on it...I can't decide.

I think they are all good but i will keep my vote semi confidential :D

To say the truth, its tough (for me atleast) to decide between DYI and Killjoy.

If I didn't enter, I probably would've voted for MaxuS. DYI's was nice but the angle sucked and Mtronics was nice too, but MaxuS' I just like more.

Yeah, the angle of that video was awful, the stand slipped in the snow and ended up filming a long way away from where it was supposed to be, and the secondary camera that I had filming from my deck ran out of battery a few seconds before the shot

If I didn't enter, I'd have voted for MrC, because his video took the most work and probably looked the best of all of them.

I'm more a fan of target obliteration than penetration.

Obviously whacking a steel ball through a steel plate requires more energy than putting the same ball through a wooden plank but visually, watching a plank explode into shards beats watching a hole appear in the steel. So since all we have here is visuals and sound, thats what I voted for.

DYI's was reaaaallly vexing with the angle, if it had been centred on the door I would have gone for it but most of the shot was of the large muzzle blast and only a little of the door bursting was visible.

I eventually voted for MaxuS's bottle through the plywood after about the tenth time watching it. It just looks so very dull to start with, especially without backing music and then suddenly half the freaking board gets blown away

A cookie for MrC and the slo-mo of the watermelon though, it was pretty snazzy seeing it split about six ways lengthwise before erupting.

Even though it didn't make it to the finals, if there was a competiton for the best firing noise I'd vote for potatoflingers any day. I mean it sounded like an amplified and speeded up squawk of a budgie o.0

@Hotwired: Damn it, I should have entered my exploding potato video then. You can't deny the target was obliterated.

It's tough, I've to to admit it. When I was judging all 14 entries, I watched them, then put them into a rough order - but now, with just one vote, I'm going to want to think again.

I think MrC has done a great job on his video editing, and it's a good shot too - kudos for matching video to music so well.

MaxuS' video has that sort of OMGWTFBBQ! factor. You're just watching it, expecting one thing... and then suddenly, the target is in three pieces. I particularly like the sound.
Same with mtronic's video, because the clever angle makes the target look a lot bigger than it is.

DYI and Killjoy are both throwing around a lot of KE, and that's obviously going to have results. Unfortunately for DYI, the angle isn't great, but the power is there.

I'm going to need at least one sleep on this. Talking of which, it's getting late.

There was a competition going on?
Well that's what I get for not being attentive.

Oh well, Mtronic has my vote.I'm always good for some stereo destruction.

I like both MaxuS's video and mtronic's video but out of the two I like MaxuS's best. The thing that I think makes MaxuS's video is the angle of the camera that captures the shot so especially well. MaxuS's video has the sound of plywood cracking and I love that pop!-crack! sound and seeing the plywood just splinter apart.

Mtronic's was a no brainer for me,I love that impact. And watching the stereo roll down to a stop afterwards is good as well.

Watermelons are said to have the consistency of a human head. Need I say why I voted for MrCrowley!

Hard choice to make...
Its not only the gun and damage that matters, but also the target, recoil, and the presentation of the vid.

-Killjoy had a nice presented video, but for me the shot was less impressive.
-Crowley had a nice vid with good music, but it was a lil bit repeating the same shot, and a watermelon isnt that impressive as a whole door or stereo. It splatters anyway, doors and stereos dont.
-DIY had a beautiful recoil and damage.
-mtronic had the best damage shot so far, its really awesome seeing that huge stereo being smacked back and it really expresses raw power.
My vote goes to mtronic

I probably would have gone with DYI's if the angle had been better, but in the end I was torn between Maxus and Mtronic.

I ended up voting for maxus, just because the video managed to be damn impressive in less than 4 seconds (time counts when you have dial-up:).
