A lot of over engineering for spin stabilising a tennis ball...
You'd have to have a very very fast motor to stabilise a bullet through.

I has hybrids to, but for general poking holes in stuff a pneumatic is more fun.
IWOST: the high pressure is messing with my piston sealing face..
I used a half of a brass union for soldering to copper pipes that fits perfectly inside my valve seat to make a bigger surface for the piston to rest on, literally took me all fakkign day!

YOU FAIL, you have to film the loading process for the pneubs to see the picture!
IWOST: Ordered a compression gauge with a one way push button valve, probably have to add a third even smaller piston valve to the gun to make it sensitive enough though.

10x mix, 130g projectile. The 40lb Mjollnir cannon moved back about 100cm from a stationary position on the ground. The kick up you can see in the video was really surprising; there must be one hell of a muzzle blast as I shot it from about 2m away.
In conclusion, my newly modified piston rocks. It literally takes 10-15 hits from a hammer to get it in to position against the barrel but so far it has opened without problem when a projectile has been used.

Haha you think too highly of me, the camera wasn't behind anything... I really should buy some plexiglass but I've become quite indifferent over the fate of my Exilim since the flash and zoom stopped working
Not sure if I'd still feel indifferent if the lens had been scratched by that rock
Sweet, got some nice stuff there. Wouldnt mind one of there grips and igniters but at about 50 GBP for the two shipped im holding off for now...

MrC, how about a CHRONY 2012 campaign lamenting your shattered instrument, where you run around the streets naked shouting at traffic and playing with yourself, because of "dehydration"
