LOL! you just called DYI a newb...

Do you realize that you have no proof to back up your claims, and are a fairly unheard of member of the forum, whereas DYI is one of the higher regarded members of the forum with many documented incredible creations?

I find it hard to believe that a parent of at least two children would be so immature as to call someone far more knowledgeable than you a newb (not to mention you hadn't heard of YouTube until a few days ago...) Please think before you post in the future.

Lame-n-taushion:
I am the father of 6.
I have two grandchildren.
I joined before pajama boy did.
Up until a couple years ago, now, I was a full time general contractor who came upon this site via one of my older son's friends whom I'd had the fortune to overhear telling my son that he was going to miss him because he had the coolest Dad in the neighborhood because he (me,obviously) did things with his kids, cool things nobody elses dad's did.
- Our house was always the "kool-aid house" where all the kids came to play, watch our chickens/roosters, play on my kids' roll-around pirateship I built for them, slide on their 75' zip-line that no other kid in the city limits had, shoot the tater guns in the backyard, etc.
I didn't and don't really have the 24/7 time to devote to kids play like this...and it has been in this last year that I've been turned on to this youtube thing, but, hey,ya know what? it's no damn big deal!
If you're so righteous about what you think of me do a search or ask around about me, I'm pretty cut and dried so to speak. When I have something meaningful to say, I say what I mean and mean what I say.
I've had more intersting life experiances than most people can even contemplate.Being sure of my self, having built over 2000 homes for people over the course of my career by myself as well as with crews of guys from 3 to 12 members, and owned more rifles, pistols, etc., blown up more shit---it pays to be a good boy growing up, you get a class three firearms permit easier. I've built two nitro jeeps -one with a buddy who saw my potential to sponser him, and the other by myself in my sparetime over the course of four years.
If I feel like talking shit, I WILL... LIKE YOU.
I don't give a rats rip about how many posts somebody has under their belt, nor how many spudbux they have, nor how many or how complex of spud canons they've made.
but to pacify your infantile ranting, I'll dig up some old pics of the osb board we shot up, then you can use your teeth to clean off my dingle-berries, okay?
Everybody,no matter how old or how experianced they are will always be a newb at something, and if you can't take some ribbing then go home and suckle.
I stopped coming to this site and a lot of others on the net afte having a truss break at work one day and falling 19' ...and hitting a concrete footing with my head and L. shoulder...that pretty well put a damper on a lot of things in my life and my families life: that was the point of referance for the neighbor kid's going to miss us. I ended up losing the house I built for my family to inherit when I died, 4 pickup trucks, 2 cars, a mini-van, a 15-passenger airforce van that looked like a stake-out vehicle, a 24' Bayliner, and a lot of memories to pay off the medical ley stated expenses insurance didn't cover.
I now have an artificial left shoulder, very limited lifting ability with my left: 5 lbs from the waist up, no overhead ability, can't tuck in the back of my shirts on the left, and my wife still has to wash my hair when I want it done right.
You joined Aug 7, 2007, I was still going to physical therapy, still dpressed over the loss of my lively- hood, and still twice the human being you'll ever be.
As mr. Crowley stated, I was joking, but you had your head too far up your ass to realize that point. I forgive you ya,  newb.

No war...
When I ---rememb-nerd --- this site, I came back to it. It was enjoyable before... and still is, just my opinion.
Upon visual of the site, I remembered several peoples handles on here, as well as a few other spud sites.
As I said in my "justification" to lament-ushion , amongst the things I'd lost was memories...yeah, memories of life's good times with my fam in our home environment, but also, I lost some memory from impacting the concrete with my head. Nobody, including me knew or knows how much or what...the saving factor that everyone around me (including me,too) is thankful for now is that before I was a major camera nut, I went through bouts of 300-350 pics a week of my kids/family/friends with the Fuji digital I carried around with me. People who used to give me sh- about it have come by and tried to ,not really apologize? but tell me that it is so strange that something like this CAN happen and that"it was a good thing I took all those pictures (and video). I don't know what I'm missing until I get to some thing that I draw a blank on, that others around me- I know the look now, think I should know. Having tons of pics on boxes and boxes of discs has afforded me to help reboot my mind so to speak...I see something in a pic and it's like it unlocks that door in my head whereas moments or days before I was sure(?) that that wasn't the case... kinda like remembering this site, I'd printed off some stuff from here thinking that I'd try to replicate it or something. Who knows maybe it was for a kid or maybe I thought it was neat.
By the way, speaking of neat, for those of you who give a Rats =Rip, PC Guy has gone to ask an admin? site to give him an opinion on this site. So far there have been some good reviews- a real sense of community-they say, though he'll have to keep an eye on power going to some peoples heads and apparently a couple of folks who tend to be a bit negative. -Too much clutter here and there, yada-yada-yada. But overall, everybody that has reviewed this place is happy with it.

I'm not sure what this thread is suppose to convey... we all should respect each other here as a fellow hobbyists.
Please lets try to maintain that atmosphere of respect and friendliness that is welcoming to all who enjoy this hobby.
