can any1 plz tell me how to make a silencer... nah jks

Anyway, most people make silencers with a large tube with insulation, but i was thinking if someone could make a silencer that real guns use...They use baffles or wipes which surround the bullet as it passes through, instead of insulation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Refl ... P-Drwg.png
Oh and a question...What type of foam can i use for a suppressor?
Someone has probably thought of this before but I didn't find it on any pages.[/url]

Yes it has been done, PM JSR about it, he has made one with baffles for his pistol, and also i think he made one for one of his rifles or more. I know its posted on here somewhere, you just gotta find it. If i can be bothered ill try and find it. But by no means you should be able to find it using the search button.

But yes it has been done.

EDIT: Damm you Mr.C lol that got me thinking when he said that "Hmmm i wonder who is going to go skits over this? " lol.

)DEMON( had made a baffled silencer here.

Here's some of mine, heavy duty suppressor for a powerful 0.22 PCP, and the one illustrated below was made for a 0.177 CO2 pistol, with composite foam/rubber baffles and drilled out lego blocks as separators.

Note however that this type of suppressor is only suitable for ammunition such as marbles or BBs, if you intend to use anything elongated or unstable you're better off with the perforated tube designs such as this reflex suppressor for shotguns:

yep - you can use lots of things as separators though, like cut up bits of tubing as in the other supressor I linked to, springs or spirals of strip material like aluminum.

In my part of the world even an airsoft gun has to have an individual serial number and the owner be issued with a police license to keep and carry it, so yeah, all my airguns are licensed, I pay the equivalent of about 25 USD a year to keep them all, plus club fees and insurance to be able to use the range.

It's a fairly common theme on the forum.
