Planned activities for saturday;

I got the co-ax tube back from the welder, so I can do the final fitting of the sear, bringing the co-ax to the test fire phase. :D

Working on some mods to a 1322. (flat topped the valve, building a piston, then I wait for the rest of the parts  )

Cut apart my fubar'ed fridge compressor, just to see what's in there. :)

Do you plan to upload some pictures? would be very interesting to see whats inside :)

And well, im not really into any projects at the time, just thinking about some designs.. for now i am leaning towards a 20mm bore piston valved copper gun - running at 500psi+ ofcourse :D Damn addiction to hp

2900psi steam cannon!
You using super heated steam?
If you boil the water in a separate chamber you could call it an “external combustion” (as opposed to combustion). :D

I forgot my top priority project:
A rifling machine, I’ve got all of it ‘ceppin the bench done.
I’m currently broke and the neighbors hired somebody else to mow their yard.
So for those who ordered a rifled barrel, you’re going to have a bit of a wait, sorry.

my (almost) 500ci 11x hybrid with golf ball bore.

the chamber is done and the barrel is in the mail and is going to arrive to Larda in a few days. when he get the barrel he cut it in half and make a ring so i can weld it back tougheter again.

when i get it i just get the $ needed to get the meter and "fire in the sand pit"

after that i get him to dig up some pipes for a 200bar piston cannon.

then i am going to build the smallest hybrid in the world.

:D:D:D:D:D

Edit:
i am on the trail to get a 10000fps hi speed camera

Hey thats what i was going to do
already conquered combustion for smallest, need hybrid
I guess im going to have to beat you

Anyways Im working on a couple projects right now.

1. high pressure copper cannon, 3/4in by 24in chamber, 1/2in porting piston valve housed in a 3/4in tee, 4ft by 1/2in barrel, all type m copper.

2.Im turning the ISM(in sig) into a sniper rifle and I am hoping for a little more veiws and comments.

3. My first full size coax

4.My secret project, full auto supersonic golfballs powered by an extremely advanced hybrid-air mechinism with a secret valve.

I just bought a 3/4 in. QEV from Mcmaster, and I'm deciding what to do with it. I was thinking BTB tribute sawed off, but then I thought I wanted it to be PVC. Any ideas for what I should do with it?
Make it a proper tribute and build it out of galvanised. :D
I'll help you via pm if you like...

I'm up to...well..I just bought me a 50 euro's worth of blowgun..I just had to have it!
Today I'll visit a friend of mine who has 1.20 m of 42 diameter copper waiting for me to turn that into Overkill's new barrel.
I plan to overhaul it. This time I want it to be the best looking I can make it.I want to make a nice hardwood grip over the ( much too) expensive blowgun, just make it look really really good.

Debating what kind of breach-loader to build for it.
It might be break barrel again, but I'm leaning towards a slider over the barrel ( bolt, but OVER, not inside)
That way I could thread the barrel straight into the valve for strenght.Break barrel gets awkward at 1.20 meters.

Coming wednesday I will visit a large second hand market, where I have gotten some pretty good valves last year, and I will look for a .177 barrel to put on Deathray.
When I find it, I'll het my CO2 tank filled and shoot a vid.
Tonight I'm working as a bouncer again..( pfff, drag!!).so that's what I'm up to right now..

haha Larda may get in the competition to.. no chance to beat him! he use 2mm pipe for the chamber :D (or was that the barrel :S)

Yikes!!

You must not have had a spudding mishap if you are that confident!

You be carefull with that okay?!?
The risk goes up along with the pressure!

DYI wrote:Right now, I'm contemplating what I'll be doing in the summer.

The main time consumer (other than work of course  ) will be the liquid-fueled rocket powered go-kart that me and my friends are building. Right now we're thinking LOX/gasoline, but it'll be a while before that design gets finalised.

Also, I need a cannon for the summer. There's a million and one ideas running around in my head for what to do. Project THOR will be running about the same timeline as the cancelled [redacted] project, which puts its finish date well into 2009. The 20x hybrid in my sig will be rather impressive (nearly an exact duplicate of FEAR in terms of power), but I need something fun to shoot, that doesn't consume ridiculous quantities of foil.

I may end up going with something solid fueled, or I may build a low pressure prototype of THOR. I've also considered, among other things, a recoilless piston valved hybrid, a detonation gun, a 6" bore 2x oxy/hydrogen mortar (which would likely be a detonation gun anyway  ), a 100x mini, and a 200 bar steam cannon. You should make A 100x mini that would be bitchiiin :)
I am up to making a smaller marker gun with a 1/2'' chamber 6mm barrel. Just to say I worked in small scale :D .

not so secret anymore

how you gonna manage that?

eltesniper:Well I was able to do it with my extremely small combustions with that syringe meter but a hybrid kinda needs more accuracy.
And i was planning it to have a propane meter

carlman:wait and find out on a couple months when it is complete

Yeah, and it would also be a [female doggy] to air up and ignite.

But I'm pretty sure Larda's going to do the 100x mini, as he's certainly better equipped for it than I am, so it looks like I'll make the steam gun. I've wanted a proper one since last summer, and this might be my chance to do it. I haven't found any steam tables that go over 1000 psi yet though, and I was hoping for twice that.

Right now I'm working on a piston valve cannon in a 2" tee with 1.5" porting. Chamber is 40" of 2" pvc. Having difficulty getting the removable back part to seal past 60 psi, but even at that pressure its pretty loud.

The other project thats sitting on the workbench is a small coaxial piston gun for shooting nerfs. Got an 18" long 1.25" chamber with a 1/2" barrel.

I've also discovered that my water rocket launcher has sprung a leak, so I'll be replacing that soon.

I'm going to be ordering parts soon from McMaster so I can have a 3" barrel on the piston cannon and a 3" chamber on my next cannon which will be using the 1.5" Asco QEV I got off eBay back in January.
