Stop double posting you idiot! Click the edit button and just add it there. I was also wondering why it's so expensive. It's gonna be a huge waste of money if it doesn't work.

P.S. Give something more than 52 minutes for someone to post a comment. You are such a spaz. And if you wanted to know if DWV is safe, look around, this problem is questioned under like 20 other topics. Your dad probably has ego issues and didn't ask for someone to help him with the parts.

P.P.S. Did your dad buy the PVC in 20 ft sections? I bought mine in 5 foot sections at Damman's Hardware and ACO. That might explain the price.

I believe that DWV is rated to 15 psi.
Other than that, if you solvent welded properly, it should be safe to use at ~60, although I'v been told by a guy at a plumbing place that "Oh, only 150 PSI? DWV is fine for that..."... crazy ####s!

Would it be possible to just cut out the chamber and put a sch 40 one in keeping the rest of the parts like they are?
