hey guys, i was thinking about how the 4th is coming up, & figured I thought I'd start a thread of ideas for it, for everyones benefit. I'll put the first idea in, sparklers, stuck into the back of a potato in a combustion (would they light?)

Hmm.... I don't know. But I got a good hoot outta taking a 3 foot piece of pipe, having my brother light a bottle rocket, and used it like and RPG over a lake. It was fun.

No, I dont think the sparklers would light, by just the combustion.

Even over an open flame sparklers normally take a little while to go.

Could try a wick or something else...

No Ideas so far

That's about the same as an artillery shell. They come with a 1' long tube, you light it, drop it in, and they shoot up with 1-to-4 secondary blasts. My uncle nearly set a boat on fire on my grandparent's dock one year when he just set a 4-banger on the diving platform on the top level. He's freakin' awesome.

Sparkelrs wouldnt ignite with such a brief heat flash. You could use something like kno3 fuse paper (flameless, but heats still there) that may ignite if its soaked in something.

Dip the fuses or tips in kerosene or something. But let them drip dry first.

RULE 3CIncendiary projectile: Any projectile that is capable of producing flame.
Rocket propelled projectiles, pyrotechnic smoke bombs, or any other burning projectiles would qualify as an incendiary projectile

C'mon guys you should know better especially the one's who have been on here a while.

Normally I wouldn't have replied because if it got taken out of context, it could be said I've just responded to a post on explosives or felony type pyrotechnic devices. Why do that?

All of you guys who have posted here, except THUNDERLORD, are beaking the rules. You are just contributing to an already against the rules thread. As THUNDERLORD stated, no burning projectiles, since they are incendiary rounds, and are illegal in the U.S.(correct me if im wrong), so this thread should be locked, or all the discussion of illegal things will continue to be discussed.

or all the discussion of illegal things will continue to be discussed.

The thing is, that this is legal. We are talking about creative uses of legal fireworks. Ill let a mod decide if this is to be continued or to be locked.

Yes, they may be legal fireworks, but once fired from a gun, the burning round turns into an incendiary round, which is ILLEGAL. Say you shoot out a sparkler, and it is traveling at a high speed, and goes through someones house, or burns through something. Yeah, I know it is fun, and creative, but it IS ILLEGAL. Sorry to be a b!tch, but rules are rules.

Exactly, rules is rules! Heck I'd love illegal uses of pyrotechnics and stuff.
I'd even share my 4th o july idea if this post wasn't about to get deleted.
This isn't the place.

@bigbob12345 And yes shooting firecrackers out of a pipe or "fougasse" stuffed with blah blah gun probably is a felony. It's ok you're a juvenile anyway, if you get caught they'll just send you somewhere with loser pot head bicycle thieves and closet homo-sexual teen crack dealers and you'll probably get expelled from school and be on probation until age 18 or 21.

Okay just to smooth out the grey area of the rules, discussion of shooting any firework or projectile that will combust upon launch, will not be allowed.

Well, is it ok with you, MrCrowley, that we discuss what we want to LEGALLY do this Forth of July with our fireworks? (Provided they aren't coming out of spudguns  )
