so i just got a hole in the 1/4" SS plate i have had lying around for a long time.
i made a topic about it since DYI did the same.
specs:
Thickness on the penetrator: 1/4"
length of the penetrator: 6.2"
thickness of plate: 1/4"
penetrator material: steel i hardened myself in used engine oil
Sabot: i did it simple the first time and just put some cloth around it.
future tests:
testing accuracy on 25 yards with my new Ghetto dart
and 1/2" stainless
remember the shots is only on 3x and i am almost done with the union problem so i can go higher.

HOLY CRAP that is some amazing damage right there and only at a 3x. Now that is some damage. Hope to see some more from Ughx123hdfjkvhb or whatever it is, (I think Ill stay with larda) when you go up to some higher mixes. Also how high are you going with Larda and did you chrono that shot.

Mr.C: That's not as easy as you think. It's like me kicking you in the balls and telling you to stop crying.

daberno: thanks!!
maniac: a little rule to remember it is "Ultra Powerful Golf Ball Hybrid 10x" and i did not chrony it but i think it was supersonic. if i get every bug on it sorted out i will go up to 11x. i am going to messure the speed of my shot on other plates.

hehe no kick for me, i am in a house when it goes of and walk out to see that the cannon is gone back about 5feet and the plate is no where to be seen. just loads of sabot material and a big hole in the ground where the fragments of the dart hit.
when i start to get on higher mixes i will try to be the first to penetrate 1/4" steel with buck shot

if so, i will almost melt the plate i have shot and cool it in used engine oil and i have hardened stainless steel

I'm sure I could make a pneumatic that would have the same effect, but my back garden isn't that big either ;pSpudFarm wrote:jack: thanks, your guns can't do it with a BB
