Please help! i dont want to pay 40 bucks to ship 20 bucks worth of stuff.....

Your best bet would be too call there support line

It won't be that bad. I had 6' of rigid SS tubing shipped to me before, and I'm in Canada. (also, I got this cool thick-walled cardboard tube with tightly fastened steel endcaps )

ok cool. thanks guys.

EDIT: i also ordered a whole bunch of stuff...... like a new pressure guage that reads 600 PSI and a 1/4 inch QEV...... so.... expect a HP BB gun.......

GGDT says i can get 1256 FPS with 500 PSI.... acheivable with my Shock pump.......

Thats nice! I need a pressure guage, a accurate one at least for my hybrid (still need to order parts)

Shipping shouldnt be bad, Mcmaster (i think) usually goes with UPS shipping; Thats what my stuff came from when i ordered there (and in one day to cause i live close to one)

I have had a 48" pipe wrench shipped to me and the price was about..... 30 IIRC, but its big and heavy, bigger than DYI' (HA!, jk). I got it to open a four inch threaded cap on my 4SPC.

I believe the reason McMaster does not tell you the shipping is because they simply bill you what it costs. I have ordered from them dozens of times, often getting 5ft lengths of stock, and have never found the shipping to be unreasonable. You will also get one hell of a cardboard tube.

BC is right. When I ordered from them I needed next day delivery before I left America. When I got the bill, the delivery cost more then my parts I bought. I think $27US and the parts came to $24US

it says they shipped my stuff today.

Its coming as two boxes. one for the tubing and one for the rest of my parts.

i THINK what they did was put the 6 foot tubing in its own box so that it stayed within maximum size restrictions. if so, pretty smart....... i wouldnt think of that.

gahhh now im itching to build my cannon!!!! AGH!!!

EDIT: they just called me..... my shipping is 6 bucks......... lol. I feel stupid for being concerned now.......

I have found the McMaster ordering system to be simply awesome. I live about 150 miles from the Atlanta distribution center and have found that orders placed before 5 pm will be delivered at my house the next day. A handful of things have come from their Chicago location but for the most part Atlanta.

I went by the distrubution center in Atlanta a few months ago and saw 3 UPS semi-trucks backed up at the dock. UPS may even have a small pre-distrubution thing going on there themselves, the stuff just gets here too quickly. However, things from Chicago take 2 days longer. Still not bad for ground service.

Yeah they tack on shipping costs after the fact and the pipe does come packaged seperately.

They'll probably ship you the tubing in a big cardboard tube, and the rest of the parts in a separate box. Those cardboard tubes are the [excrement] though, man. Just don't let them build up in your closet or you'll have a roach problem on your hands.

See? Nothing to worry about. McMaster is one of the better companies I have dealt with. When your order arrives, you will think that damn tube is worth $6 by itself. (Anyone who has gotten one can vouch... you could club a baby seal with that thing.) I used em as mortar tubes on the 4th.

Next time before you order, just email them the list of item numbers in your cart and they will estimate shipping for you.
