Hey, I was just wondering what size, type, and voltage capacitors you use for that type of ignition.Thanks.

20v 2000mf should be enough. It depends on the electrodes too.

This is a simple diagram you can use more capatitors. Press the first switch to charge and then the second switch to discharge.

Yeah, what do you use to charge the caps? An adjustable power source? 'Cause those are expensive. Also where do you get these caps. I do some amateur robotics and have ever found a 200V 2000mf cap, unless you meant a 2000 uF cap. Would these possibly be found in external camera flashes. Thanks

That's what they meant. A 2000 mf cap would be massively over sized!!!

A 2 farad capacitor would be dangerous and .... well you should know.

The innards of a disposable camera will create a 300 V charging source, and the used and empty cameras can usually be got free if you ask politely at a camera store.
