Punisher Valve help!?

I just built a puinisher valve cannon... And it works.. But it doesnt hold air for too long. It leaks terribly. I found out that all the leaks are coming from the cleanout plug's threads. I used a TON of teflon tape on it, and i've tried pipe dope. I've even used the two together... and it still leaks. I've gone through 3 different clean out plugs so far, and i cant seem to fix the problem with leaking.

I was thinking of maybe trying to screw in the cleanout plug farther... but this would bend the diaphram. So i would need a thinner diaphram... one thats extremely thin, but can hold about 60-70 PSI.

I was hopeing i could get this cannon to hold PSI for as long as i wanted it to until i fired it. I was going to use it for special effects for paintball reinactments and shoot water balloons filled with paint at the tanks. But if this cannon cannot hold the PSI, then i would have to stop, pump the cannon up, and then fire. Which would be way too much of a hassle.

So is there any other way to fix this problem with leaking??? Becuase im really starting to get fed up, and thinking about just scrapping the hole design, (which ive already wasted about 80 dollars on) and going with a new one that would run off 12 gram C02 cartidges.

PLEASE HELP! :(
