They got the World Record in 2008!!
Over half a kilometer!!!
I think this would be a perfect place to meet up!

If anyone wants to bring their cannon, that's great but we WON'T have a legal place to fire them.

well that seems like a nice event.. but if you can't bring your own guns then what's the point of organising it...
you might consider organising one in Poland.. there are lots of good places where you won't be disturbed - seriously - if you are willing to spend some cash there are lots of people who own 60 Ha or more land in a remote areas...
oh yeah and don't forget to dress up as plumbers... and to bring a large sign 'European plumbers convention 2009'

Don't know 'em..
Belgium is much more central than Poland.
Germany would probably be best.
If anyone can rent a piece of land for a day there I guess pretty much everone will show up.
Untill then, Pumpkin Chunkin is the next best thing.Nothing illegal and a spectacle you won't forget for the rest of your life....
It's a good excuse to meet up and have some fun, and talk spuds.
Maybe show off some stuff too.
So far a few guys have contacted me, I hope the numbers will grow..
I understand it's too far for some.
Maybe some UK spudders can come as a group, it's doable from south-west Germany, north of France, Holland and of course Belgium.

We may go to someones backyard and shoot some stuff (i'll bring chrony). Pneumatics are legal on own property in holland so...

lol that's why poland is in central europe
still if you could find a place where we could actually shoot that would be better.... the way I understand it there is no control when you cross from one EU country to the other, right ??

It depends, if you're flying then there will obviously be checks, and some trains also have your baggage screened.

Sounds tempting. But I'm not sure about the feasibility of the date, or for that matter the cost of doing so.
Either way, it would be great to be able to get lots of serious spudders all together for a meet. But could the universe contain the amount of awesome that would be?

If we only had a piece of land we could have a meeting right away. But that will probably not happen because when the huge amount of awesome concentrates on one single point, an awesome black hole is created. As this would mean the end of the awesome universe, we will probably live through the time paradox where this does not happen.
Or, we could modify a compressor to compress awesomeness and store it in big awesome tanks. Of course we will need to let some out before the critical mass is reached, so we could try to power an awesome cannon with it.
