Freak coincedance!

Muhahaha..

I could have posted this in ITWOST...but...I wanted you guys to read this..
The weirdest thing happened to me today:

The entire town held a yardsale..we do this once a year..
After running out of stuff to sell ( well..all interesting stuff went fast!)
I decided to pull out "Old Shatterhand" to see what it would sell for.

One Romanian fellow wanted to pay 165 euro for it, but in the end let it go because I couldn't provide " papers" so he would have a problem importing it to his country.

Another guy couldn;t make up his mind...he had too many rifles already...never once did he say it was too expensive..

I got many a Wow or Woohh...Lots of explaining legallity..some people took pictures of it..(wtf?!?!)
Some people wanted it as a wallpiece...the fact it really shoots scared them off..
So in the end..I still got it..

Then a neighbourhood kid showed up...and asked me....

" is that like a spudgun?"
My eyes lit up like a 5x mix!
Nobody over here knows about them!

I told him : yes, I've made many..

Then 3 of his friends told me they have some too...In the same freaking village! 300 inhabitants! Go figure!
That makes 5 of us in the same town...(they got spray and pray's)

Then he tried to brag about "old shatterhand" not being the best homemade shooter he's seen.
I almost got pissed...

He claimed he saw one on youtube...where he saw a guy with a black metal spudgun that blasted a red bull can though a pallet...

Then I had to explain to him....that one was mine too!!

:D

What are the odds???
Out of all the spudguns on the net, he decided to brag about seeing ...MINE!!

Not that freak, you've made some awesome stuff, and the youtube he looks at might have that more frequently due to geography(?).
Pretty cool though.
Sometimes it seems like God has our lives on certain awesome paths for some of us maybe. 8)

The funny thing is...this was the first and ONLY vid he told me about...

Anyway...they all wanted to see the real thing...he was like
" YES! that's the one I saw!"

Fun seeing those kids freaking out over a spudgun!

I gave him the spudfiles adress as well as the Eurospudgun forum..

Alway on mission! :D

Wow that's cool too bad you couldn't sell it. I mimic thunderlords comment that because your video was posted on the European youtube European videos come up first and there's not many spud gunners where you live.

Cool!
Learn em how to build pneumatics. A few more dutch members are always nice to have!

165 euro...
Old shatterhand is worth way more. I mean, you have spent a lot of time on that thing.
On top of it, I wouldn't just sell something away like that. After building a nice gun, I'm kinda attached to it. I just store it, so that I can get out out after many years and look back, thinking: "ahh the good old days"

I probably mentioned God earlier here because last week, my own freak "coincedences" were that first my thunder van's battery went dead when I stopped on a very curvy road with lots of hills,
when I looked under the hood, noticed brake fluid leaking, when I started it, noticed a major brake problem.

So I got my motorcycle (my Thunderhorse) on the road and had a funny feeling NOT to stop for gas....ran out of gas...walked like 5 miles to get gas feeling stupid...got back and noticed that when I changed my rear rim, the bolts on the pulley had come loose, and had they come further loose, the bolt(s) would have smacked the rear swing arm and locked the rear wheel on the highway!!!
I would've become a Thundersmear, scooped up with a thundershovel (snowshovel)... :(

This vehicle repair is no joke!!!  8)

BTW, I got these central american workers doing repairs on the place I'm at for now, but I want to go spudding out back... thinking of breaking out a launcher and converting them but IDK, it's too close to home even if they are pretty cool. 8)

I wish there were spudders on my street... I have a cop and a whole bunch of very sports-oriented teenagers.

iT"s nothing that unusual.
Before I got a membership on SF's, I lurked a long time,
BUT My favorite youtube vids were with Mr.C.'s GB gun,
and the main reason I joined was JSR's blow forward bolt vid on youtube.

I had lurked a while, given up , and decided I'd have to come up with my own Semi-auto/ full auto (besides cloud or vortex) until I saw those.

But truthfully, I had no idea they were both here.

It was quite an awesome coincedence, when for example JSR linked to the BFB which was the reason I decided maybe there is more, and joined.
And when I realized who MrC. was.

Pretty awesome!!!
SF's is the best! :D  8)

I've got a cop living on my street too, but he don't mind

I think you should befriend the cop and let him know you do it. If he know you aren't going to hurt anyone or get him in trouble, then he's at liberty to use his judgement, and maybe even have your back.

Of course he could be the bad kind of cop who doesn't think for themselves, in which case, avoid him! :P

Quite an incredible story though! Sometimes I wish I could get my friends interested, let alone random strangers.

That's less of a coincidence than you might imagine. I've come across a few people who know me from forums. It's always a weird experience, even more so if they're lurkers who know me, but whom I know nothing of.

Indeed, not all that long ago, I met someone in a store who I got talking with. Eventually, the conversation moved to some stuff they'd been reading on an gaming forum.
Odds would have it that this was a site where I'm one of the main members, and the stuff they were talking about was actually stuff I personally had written.

Pretty cool actually. It doesn't happen very often, perhaps every few months, but I can't say it's a rare thing to happen.
Then again, I have yet to run into anyone who knows me from spudding forums.

Thats the big difference in coincidence.
There are so few spudders, that the chance of two meeting each other is very small.
Gaming forums, well, almost everyone plays games. Being around on the same site because of interest in a particular game can indeed be quite common.
