hello just wondering if there is a way to get multiple shoots out of one fill of my pnematic gun
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/first-a ... 18684.html

or if i was to use a prefilled tank to connect to the quick connect on the front ? any ideas or thought on what i should do would be greatly appreciated

looks like thats a big chamber for a small barrel cut the chamber off a few inches pastr the tee put on a ball valve. when you shoot it open the ball valve fill it up shut it the ball valve. shoot it, open then close the ball valve again to recharge the chamber that goes to your barrel then so on and so forth.

if you want multiple shot off one fill get a much stronger spring for your sprinkler valve and only tap the blowgun. so you sprinkler will act more like a hammer valve. i warn you tho this will decrease the power in each shot like 35% but you will get 3-4 good shots a fill i think its worth it tho.(you will have to do surface area vs air pressure vs spring compression calculations tho depending on what pressures you use)

But if you just want it to have multiple shots but don't care if your tethered to an air compressor just get a bit stronger of a spring and attach it to a constant air source. :D

good man spud that was the exact thing i was thinking of apart from an extra tank,i just needed someone to second it,,,im off to the shed in search of a spring  8)

You're wrong, sorry. Given the pilot volume of the average sprinkler valve and the flow of a blowgun you will simply not be able to do that. Even though my gun has a fair pilot volume, I can't stop halfway through the shot. It doesn't work.

You will NEED a hammer valve if you want to do that. I assumed I could do something similar and get multiple shots with a pushbutton valve (and very large tank). Even though there was a tiny flow restriction between the chamber and firing chamber there was no way to get more than one shot.

You'll need a second chamber, compressor or PROPER hammer valve.

You could also go for a smaller calibre and use the blowgun as your main valve, something like this.
