Double post but with a major update.

Psycix and I went to the Chunkin event in Bikschote Belgium.
We were allowed to shoot some apples and spuds in full view of the 7000 spectators...in the centre of the field!!

YEAHHH!!!

I used relatively low pressure because the organiser was a bit weiry of the concept...

But all was fine and he granted us our own division next year...so basically a spudmeet with an audience!!
He would like us to come with bigger and more powerful cannons and hopes we'll bring some buddies to compete against!!

Wonderful!
vid is here:

I had a great conversation with the American team Onager, the 2009 world champions in their catagory..(who got beaten by the Belgians who got 726.4 meters with a katapult btw)

I showed them my aircannon wich they loved, I told them about me being a mod here..guess what? They know Spudfiles!.. :D
This guy asked me if I knew about guns...I said :"some.."
He told me his brother has one of the first lever action pistols ever made...
So I said:..Oh the Smith and Wesson Vulcanic with the cartridgeless ammo?
He was stunned.... :D

Yeah I know a little something about 'em...
It was nice meeting fellow vegtable-chunkers...
Who knew Americans could bring a " weapon" to another country and NOt start a war?
Just teasing
...they were great!

It took them 4 weeks to get the Katapult across the pond...
It took me about 2 hours to get there..

Right now it doesn't get any better than this.
All legal and with a crowd!

I too would like to fire some smallbore designs at tv's of old fridges...with fellow spudders...but " this is not America" my friend.

We must grab opportunity by the youknowwhat and jank it as hard as we can.

Edited:
I'm currently contacting the media in my country.Chunkin made the prime time news!

Vid here: ( wait for the commercial to end first!)
http://www.rtl.nl/components/actueel/rt ... belgie.xml

One mayor tv-station has said they are interested and I should e-mail them about my contribution to next years event.

If things get rolling I might get some sponsors to build a BIG cannon and ...well...we'll see where it goes from there...

Yeah it was awesome! But I'm even more excited about next year.
There's a big gun in my head right now... :D

There's nothing better than shooting stuff over a field with a whole crowd behind you going "Ooah!"
The gun will be big next year. Oh yes it will be BIG.

It has to be.

Because its awesome.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!
